I doubt they would give a gov't agency money that has no involvement with the making of laws just the enforcement of them. Also beer is nasty and liquor is to. Wine is ok cuz it tastes like grapes sometimes.

Ive done my fair share of drinking, and smoking. Hands down choose smoking. I believe that budwiser did that. they would go out of buisness if weed was legal. plus the war on drugs employs to many people.

Legal weed would provide alot more jobs than the war on drugs......I know alot of people who would rather be pot farmers than LEO..... it would also provide alot more revenue

Not just the beer companies, a lot of businesses stand to lose a lot when pot is legalized.

-Pharmicutical companies will no longer be needed to make drug tests.
-Timber industry will drop.
-Cigarette and beer companies are bound to feel it.
-I imagine many medicine sales will drop, I haven't taken Asprin or any other pain reliever since I started smoking.

Even if Budweiser does not pay a direct sum to the government - I am not positive but I am sure they have a lobbiest that tells the government what they like and dont like - they provide local, state, and federal government revenue in the form of excise tax, sales tax, sin taxes, income taxes of employees, property taxes, corporate income tax, etc..... They also help to employ a ton of support personel - farmers, drivers, store clerks, stadium beer vendors, etc....

So I can't find any evidence of a direct payment, but sleep tight at night knowing that Budweiser and other breweries pay out of their asses to stay in business.

Speaking of our friendly, caring, govt. Has anyone else noticed or heard of the correlation between the war in Afghanistan and the recent major in flux of heroin in our country. Under the Taliban the poppy farmers in Afghanistan were pretty much shut down. The oil companies wanted to run a natural gas pipeline through Afghanistan this was back before 9/11. The Taliban told them to basically "fuck off". Then we had our "New Pearl Harbor". And all the bullshit reasons they needed to invade Afghanistan. Now they can run thier pipeline and we can Kurt Cobain our pains away, what with all the fuckin' Heroin on the streets. My wife has a friend that she worked with, sweet girl, mid 20's hooked up w/ this junkie fuck took her for all her shit and got her turned on to that shit. this girl didn't even smoke weed before doing heroin.
