how do i get the highest yield out of my plants

Im getting ready to start an indoor grow op and im trying to get as much as i can out of a few plants. ive heard all you have to do is prune but i need to know how and if there are any other ways to get a high yield. So if anybody out there could tell me some tips, tricks, or some things to do to make my plants produce a lot, it would be greatly appreciated! Happy Smoking and Growing to all!!

Topping creates 2-4 colas instead of one, so cut the top node when you have multiple nodes on top.
Screen of green, train plant on to screen by tying down thus creating a sea of small colas, usually used by growers with confined space.
SOG is sea of green, veg a large amount of plants for about two weeks and induce flowering earlier than usual, great method for perpetual grows. Also faster harvests.
LST is low stress training, bend branches to give buds sites more light, hence growing larger buds= more weight.

Thanks for the explanations! got a few more questions if thats cool. What do you mean train them onto a screen? How do you do it? Also, ive heard of the sea of green techinique, so vegging them for only two weeks wont detract from the potantcy? do you have to flower longer to compensate for the shorter veg period? Does flowering longer produce more buds as well? Sorry for the question pile-up, just want to fully grasp everything.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imREnSCyzx0&feature=related here is a scrog video flowering will still be the same lenght that that strain requires and potency will not decrease, flowering longer is not recommended because potency decreases, harvest when necessary. You will have to search the forum to find out how exactly to use these grow methods.

when you put into flowering shake the plant lightlly for 3-5 seconds every 3 days. i think that makes more bud or more thc, cant remember...

no man lol if it is stressed itll make better bud, idk y but thats what i hear.. and if you keep the light off for 48 hrs b4 the chop some say that makes better bud, and the when you do the chop/dry it make sure its really warm so the resine can flow to the buds when its hanging.

OK i gotcha! I remember hearing something about crucifying the plant. something about sticking a toothpick through the plant and then another through 90 degrees from the first and its supposed to make it more potent. dont know for sure, could be an old wives tell ya know?

i remember where i heard it, it was in a book i got 8 or 9 years ago in a cali headshop and it said growers in mexico used to do it back in the day.
