Thats pretty fast. My flower room is 4x4x9 (soon to have plants in there) And I am going with a can fan 4" that exchanges air in about 2 mins.I have decided upon an easy cool with a 600 watt hps for my flowers, The room is 4x4x8, i was thinking about a grow bright, or a can fan, but both of them would be exchanging the ait in the room at least twice a minute. Is this a bad thing?
I will be using co2 eventually, so yeah i thought it was too much air being pulled from the room, i guess a 4 would work, and i could just use a reducer off the reflectorThats pretty fast. If you don't have co2 I don't think you need to worry.
Yeah I didn't think about the turns and such. I better think alittle more before I go out and get a 4 inch.If you are having a problem with heat the 6" fan is best . I just put in a 4" in boster fan, But it depends on how long the run is and is it smooth or corragated. These factors have a lot of play on how much you are really moving. I orded a 6" fane to compensate for the short fall.
Digital ballasts don't really reduce the heat. 600 watts of energy is 600 watts. And a certain amountOk, so there is a lil bit more figuring, Im gonna be pushing through a carbon filter after about 8 ft of insulated (for the noise) ducting. Im really worried abut the heat, ill be using a digital ballast though too to eleminate that heat scource.
I run mine 24/0. I also have a 4" fan, but it connects directly to the carbon filter, if there were any ducting, especailly with bends it wouldn't be efficent at all. (For theres still a little odor present) Go with the 6"er, wish I would of!!! And insulated ducting is the way to go, I would hook some up I just don't feel like taking that thing down and re-doing it. Only got a few more weeks anywayYeah I didn't think about the turns and such. I better think alittle more before I go out and get a 4 inch.
