Ok guys n gals, time to git down to it.
Ive finally gone through the paces, and i think i have a pretty good grasp on what im doing at the moment. Ive done a few grows, ive changed mediums various times, and ive grown out enough different strains to be able to take pre-emptive measures to compensate for any unexpected nuances that a plant may or may not take on during the course of its life in my garden. Im finally ready to give perpetual growing a try.
For the time being, due to financial constraints, im stuck growing Ebb&Flow, but will be switching to the Stinkbud Aero units as soon as possible. Ill be growing right now using four (4) 3x3 flood trays, 2x1000w light systems (MH conv, and HPS) over the trays, along with a seperate tent for my mothers, which will be powered by a 600w cooltube. Ill also be using one more seperate space for a couple of clone aero units, which will have just a few T5's over them, but ill have to pick those up in a couple weeks. For now my system as a whole is in pieces, but will come together over the course of this grow.
I'll be using (ill begin using nutrients in wk 3 of the plant's growth cycle, maybe wk 4 depending on how far along they have come) Botanicare's line of nutrients for this grow, as Fox Farm does some wierd shit to the roots, and i would like to see the results i get from other types of nutrients for sure. The stain that FF gives to the root system makes it look like the beginnings of root rot. I dont think FF was ever really meant to be used in Hydroponic applications to begin with. Anyway, on to the Strains for this run.
I am starting fresh this time around, i DO have some clones that im turning into mother plants, but these strains were way too good to pass up, so im going to turn these bad bitches into mothers, and do some runs with them first. Elite Genetics was kind enough to hook me up with some tester beans, to do a Beta Run (Beta Testing = running a product that hasn't been put out for the masses to consume yet, and either has not been tested at all yet, or is being tested by a small group of people) with and post the results up on here. He most definitely wasn't stingey with the gene pool, that's for sure, lol. Thanks so much dude, and ill be sure to return the favor in any way i can
He hooked me up with:
Lemon Larry OG Kush x The White Clone
-So, im tryin to find the exact lineage of the Larry Cut of OG Kush, and who it belonged to before it got into the hands of Elite, but i did everything but ask the man himself, lol - so i guess ill get back to you guys on that. The White clone though, you should check out some pics over at elitegenetics of this thing man. Its fuckin beautiful. Pure white OG Kush, all the way down to the branches n stems. Just beautiful. Im germing 3 seeds of this strain..
Tahoe OG Kush x Sour Larry OGK
Apparently the Tahoe OG Kush clone is said to be the original cut of the OG Kush line, as it was taken from the Chemdawg batch that was run up in Lake Tahoe way back when the Chem legend began. It's in debate as to which is truly the original cut, but the Tahoe cut has been seeded, and brought to the masses. Sour Larry OG Kush, is that famous Larry cut once again, but it's been crossed with some sour Diesel i believe, to give it even more of that intense sour funk. Once again, i am germing 3 beans...
Larry OGK x Chemdawg D
An uncrossed version of the Original Larry Cut, crossed with the Chemdawg D. The D, a Straight up OG Kush x Sour Diesel cross, is a knockout in its own right, truly a beautiful thing to behold. I cant wait to see what this cross is gonna look like. N smell like. N taste like. N smoke like, lol....3 beans have been put in the germination station.
..And lastly, but certainly not leastly, ill be running
SubCool's Space Queen
quite obviously not an Elite creation, lol, but rather coming from our friend SubCool, working with TGA seeds. Im growing out SQ and keeping her in this journal, because i am starting her on the same day, and am going to be doing the same things to her as i am the rest of the gang, so keeping her with the bunch really just makes plain sense to me here. SQ is an amazing looking plant. Ive seen numerous pics of her, and out of all of Sub's creations that ive seen, personally this one IMHO is more visually stunning, and has had a shit ton of positive feedback by way of yield, taste, smell, bag appeal, and overall effect. I cant wait to grow her out, and see a Sea Of Green in my garden, with the Space Queen taking up 1/4 of it's real estate. I germed 3 beans of this lil lady aswell.
Anyway, what ill be doing here, is starting out my beans, running them nice and big, all the while topping and training them to improve the amount of cuttings ill be able to take. Ill grow them out to about 45 days, until they begin to presex, so i can suss out the males from the females. Once i have an all female jungle (im trying to figure out where the hell i can keep a stable of males still) in the mother room, ill begin taking clones, every two weeks taking about 30 clones from each strain. Ill be working on 4 flood trays as i said before, so hopefully if i do everything right ill be able to run an lb of each of these amazing strains every 2 wks. If not, ill get as close to it as i can, thats for damn sure, lol.
I'd bore you with pics of paper towels with some beans in them, but i think ive already done enough with my words, lol, so i'll leave it at that for now. Once they pop and i got somethin to show, then ill start comin with the pics. I'll do weekly updates, but once everything starts getting interesting, expect to see pics more and more frequently.
Thanks for stopping by guys, i hope your as excited bout seein these gals grow out as i am to grow them I'll be sure to keep you guys posted.
Thanks Elite!! Go to www.elitegenetics.webs.com, and check out the MASSIVE selection of Chemdawg & OG Kush this dude has to offer. He's bringin cali club genetics and other rare cuts and seeding them so they can contribute to the cause. OverGrow America!!
