Where can i get pc fans????

hey my fellow growers!!!

Im currently putting together a veg box and im planing on using pc fans to cool it, my question is where can i buy this at? i cant find any my veg box is 3 x2x3

you could easily Cut off the tip of a 12 Volt DC adapter, and hook it up to the fan, this is what i do, but i only use 9V DC. good luck

Why do you want to use pc fans? if you wanted a cheap ass piece of ineffective air moving apparatus you could quite easily buy a bathroom fan and save yourself the trouble of wiring for 12v. The transformers use power to work, probably more than the fan would tbh.

a 12V isn't hard at all to wire lol, and you can buy 250mm pc fans! its awesome, they are almost completely silent and huge, what more can you ask for in a small grow room...

I didn't mean it's difficult to wire for 12v, I meant the hassle of finding an adapter and connecting it. If you already have old fans, transformers etc lying around, fine. But why actually go out and spend money on the setup when you can just use the mains and save yourself the power loss from stepping down the voltage? Axial fans are inefficient enough as it is.

hey thanks guys, i actually came across a old 450 w power supply i wasnt using so im just going to power all the fans with it.:peace:

just buy the biggest 12v pc fan you can get and then get a 12v ac to dc converter from radio shak or somewhere similar. connect the wires and plug it in to a normal wall outlet.

Or get a real fan. One that's designed to work in high humidity.

ehhhh wiring is a cinch and finding an adapter is even easier i got about 4 of um and it takes 2 seconds to wire it up.
thats all i use is computer fans and they move plenty of air quietly
