It looks like it going to be Tight and Hot in there...oh' did I just say that...
Yea, I'm probably going to run a 10 gallon res behind the cabinet for easy access and circulate the water on a continual basis. I don't think they are going to use as much water as you suspect. The plants probably won't get over 10" tall and will have very limited vegetation. I've grown 8 plants to over a foot tall in a 20 gallon res. They only used 1 gallon every 2 to 3 days. These reservoirs are 18 gallons each w/12 plants each. I expect the same or less usage, but the last thing I want is burned nuts
OK, keep this to an R ratingIt looks like it going to be Tight and Hot in there...oh' did I just say that...
Brilliant! I can cut a hole in the top of the cab, cover it with glass, place the bulb/reflector over the glass, seal around the light and ventilate directly through the reflector. Time to break out the saws! I love the smell of power tools in the morningimo, a light directly on top of your cab is perfect placement. a little high for some, but it will ensure even spread and distribution.
as for glass, any glass will cut the amount of light intensity, but i think pyrex is the best. don't quote me on that
what kind of airpump did you get? pix?
pyrex is about 8%, other types of glass cut more... all in all though, 10-15% decrease for closer placement and no temp probs is a fair trade, imo.I wonder how much glass cuts down on light intensity..? I bet it is not much until it gets alot of dust on it...Any thoughts Mogie? I figured when the talk of double pane came up, that it would be a good topic of discussion...
That's what I'm hoping for!heh, you're going to have a shrub....
