Im on day 12 of growing 10 lowryder#2xAK47 (I will have journal up soon) and i'm wondering if its time to put these into 2 gallon pots. They are currently in their original homes ( 3"x3"x2" starter pots)

Im growing with a 432 Watt 8 bulb, 4ft T5 setup and fox farm ocean forest soil.

The 2nd and 3rd pics are of the same plant-the largest of the 10.

Thanks

Can you see roots coming out the drain holes in the bottom of your planters yet?

If so then yeah, definitely.

I would wait a week more or 5 days. That way the roots are limited and will get fat that way when you transplant them you will have girthie roots, stong and healthy.
And the T5s keep them 22" above and your plants will love it. If you think closer is better you will see less growth results.
Look at my veg T5 grow below.

you can keep those in the pots longer..take of them out and look at the roots systems..you prolly wont see that mean roots..

Listen to this guy. Let the roots tell you when you need a bigger pot. When you can see em poking out the bottom or wrapping around the bottom of your containers, time for an upgrade.

When I first started useing T5HO I was useing 4 bulb and I had them at 12" at that was not showing good results, so after a few weeks and Charts an Graphs I found that with all strains in my veg garden that 20-23" was optimal. It keeps them from streching and the leafs grow out so fast. But when closer they just go stale and no new growth, ridging and not so green.

2 might be a little close, but as long as they aren't burning, you're all good.

If you keep them 22" from the plants you need up with super stretchy stems.
Not so... Look at my Skunk or my Northern Lights and you will see.
Just go to my photos and from the very start I had them 20-23 inches above.

Interesting. All my sprouts hated having the light that far away.

Did you see my babies in the photos below, that all with 8 bulb 4' T5HO (veg). They Love it and they are kicking ass.
I always heard that t5s where to be 12" from top, but you know what, that was not a good thing in my garden so I go with what shows optimal growth.:joint:
