First 400w closet grow veg/flwr

No shit. I hate all the retarded CFL users on here that just don't get it. They never will until they bang out some grows with HID's, then they always come back say "Wow, this HPS is all it's cracked up to be".

A lot nicer not having to dick around with a zillion little lights too. Plants look good, setup looks good, I think you're on the right path.

I still use floro's for veg, but I use T5 and keep it nice and simple.
I mean its understandable how ppl use cfls on a budget grow, so I wouldnt quote me so quickly..thanks.

I use a 200w enviro with a couple extra cfls for veg. You really cant bash the overall use of cfl.. flowering is the issue.

Oh definitely. I agree it has a place. Some people defend CFL's far beyond that place.

I use T5's and CFL's for veg. There certainly isn't a reason not too, it's much easier to manage. It's just that when those that flower with CFL's switch over to HPS they always come back and say it was worth it.

I think most reasons people dont make the switch to hps is because the expense, and the more work invloved in ventilating... not because they think cfl will yield more. The disadvantages to cfl in flower are obvious, therefore I dont think anyone could defend it beyond that point.

Help me out?

I dont feel like all plants are budding at the correct rate.. One white skunk in the corner has large budsites with pistils shooting out vigorously. It seems the others are moving slower.. including the power kush which are both considered early harvesters

I guess my question is, is it normal that they are budding at different rates? Will they all eventually catch up to eachother?

The first one is obviously the white skunk that is budding the most and then one other after that.. the third is a bag seed and 4 is power kush.. they are all 17 days flowering.. do they look right?

And those are my lucky babiess.

they are all from seed..

here's a pic at 3 wks into flower...

Power kush, and two white skunk..

blueberry is looking sweeeet.

They sure are looking sweet. Good shit....now just let'em keep on keepin' on. Don't worry about how big they are getting and if they are behind, they are just fine and this always worries newer growers. I know it did for me for awhile.

What kind of yield can I expect with the 400w im using in a cooltube, about 10" away from the tops of the plants.

Im hoping to get atleast 4 ounces dry from the 6 plants I have got flowering now..

Im getting the feeling that these buds are moving a tad slow.. could it have to do with the dark cycle, not being dark enough? I would think that they would never have started flowering if it wasnt dark enough..

please help.

4zips dry under 400 with 6-plants is achievable :hump: as far as not growing fast enough...should notice changes every day if not every two days....might want to check your PH and careful with adding nutes...not to heavy unless they are used to it....this will hurt that yield if you nute too hard. Get ready to flush at the first signs of burning. dark cycle with light leaks will drastically slow down flowering and could cause you to hermie.....can you check that? get inside and wait for eyes to adjust. @ 4-5 weeks of flower right? will start to build up mass now.

peace

I added a small dose of tiger bloom a week before last, just to get them used to it.. but I'll be ready to flush!

They are in there 3rd week of flower at day 25... so essentially almost 4wks.

I dont see any sign of hermies, I did alot of supercropping and bending which left alot of lower small buds exposed to more light.. These buds started are taking a bit longer to develop..

the plant that is the furthest behind is an indica dominant bagseed.. and I dont know how long the flowering period is. My guess is either theres a problem (which is always possible) or.. im being paranoid and its a late flowerer just off to a slow start.

I'll post a pic of the bagseed to show the growth.

im growing a bagseed also and mine seemed a lil slow at first too.... i thought it could be because light interupting dark as well but had the same thought as you ... why would they flower if it was a light leak? and i also added extra bloom nutes lol kinda in the same boat... mine is 4- 5 weeks in and is starting to fatten up so i agree u should see great progress soon enough
