how to do pinhole pics?

There should be a Macro selection on your camera. If they doesn't work, people have also put the camera behind a magnifying glass and taken pics that way.

Pinhole cameras are basically a box with a tiny hole on one side and film or photosensitive paper inside opposite the tiny hole. These cameras don't need to focus, everything they see is in focus.

Put a tiny hole through piece of paper and look at stuff real close through the tiny hole. You should be able to see more clearly at a closer distance then with the eye alone. What would normally be fuzzy a few inches in front of your face will be clearer when looking through the tiny hole.

Edit: if you need prescription glasses but don't have 'em on ya' you can use the pinhole technique to sharpen your vision a bit too.

i didn't realize it was your pic he was replying to. carry-on.

this was done in macro. but I can't figure out how I did it. I can tell you to turn off hps grow lights turn off the flash. I had to cover mine with a sticky note. The flash reflect off the trich's and makes little bright dots.

Many people will spend $40 on camera gear they'll rarely use just because they were told to do so without bothering to consider their options. I'm stating the obvious for those who need to have the obvious stated.

Btw, if you can remove your camera lens from the camera body, rather then buying diopters (magnifying filters) for $40 a reverse mount costs $5 and turns any lens into a macro lens. You'll also get higher quality pics with a reverse mount.

i butt the camera lens right up to the eyepiece. focus in on the object, then zoom in with the camera. i think my lenses are 10x, 50x and 100x.

$3 at the second hand store.

That has a hell of an eye peice for a microscope. lol and no help for my set up.
