Guess what?
I added more salt and it worked wonders.
My bong isn't here with me so I couldn't clean it,
BUT
my bubbler looks brand-effin-new.
I haven't cleaned that thing since I got it. Which was about a month
and a half ago.....
I really wasn't sure, but after about 20 min. of zealous shaking, and
10 min boiling, it looks really good. I can actually see the blue and green
instead of black. lol.
I can't wait to smoke out of it when I get some more bud because its
gonna taste way better that smoking with a shitload of resin.
The only part that didn't come clean was the downtube. My bubbler
is cool, it has a diffuser downtube. With a FAT bowl. I should post a pic of it nice and clean.

i just bought a cool glass pipe n the guy told m bout 420 cleaner, said the shit works like a charm.. gotta get me some..well i use to think the ol rubbin alcohol and a q-tip was the best way to clean it. but i recently found this stuff at my head shop that is AMAZING. made my pipes smoke and look JUST like the day i got it. Its called 420 Solution, stuffs only 7$ and u just poor it in ur pipe, shake it up, and BAM!! you mite have to do it a couple times, but man, its worth it.

That bubbler I have is awesome. I can't even clear it in one hit.
But I wish I could because I hate stale smoke.
I have a mini pipe. I call it my "sneak-a-toke"
I don't really like it, but it gets the job done. Love the bubbler tho.

so is my bubbler....all this talk, ..................... i cleaned my bong. used salt and alcohol. it's sparkly now.
except for the downtube.
Maybe I should try and clean it again.
I used rice and it got alot of the huge chunks of resin off,
but not all of it.
Got any more ideas fdd??

thank you!!!let it soak with the alcohol in it over night. wrap it up in a plastic bag with salt and alcohol. tie it closed and shake it every so often until clean.

lol duh, but its got more to it tho, its not JUST salt and alcohol. it was made to clean pipes. it'll do the job alot better than just plain rubbing alcohol and salt...designed for the purpose of cleaning rez...can ur salt and alcohol clean the rez off ur fingers? table? glass? tools? i doubt it. unless u SCCCCRRRRRUUUUUBBBBBBBB the shit out of it.
dude, i used 420 for 3 years until the chick at the PIPE SHOP told me all it was was salt and alcohol. and yes, it does all that without "scrubbing". i just used it.

Why spend $7 on "solution" when I can use alcohol and salt?
Alcohol at dollar store is 2 for $1, and salt
is $.34 for a huge canister.
so It takes a bit more time, but I'd rather only spend
$1.34 and have clean bongs, bubblers, and pipes
than spend $7 on solution, plus shipping.

I think the biggest mistake people make is the kind of salt.
Don't get / use table salt. Get ROCK salt. It is so much better than table salt; ESPECIALLY on dirty pipes - it will destroy resin easily. If you are really cheap you can reuse the salt because it is big enough to get recaptured. Just by dumping it on a paper towel.
I would never even consider buying 420 cleaner. I can promise you with absolute certainly that my glass can not get ANY cleaner than it is. It is literally completely spotless. It is totally colorless / odorless when I am finished cleaning - like a brand new piece that has never been smoked.
My glass is immaculate and I use Alcohol and salt for the residue / smell and I use vinegar / CLR to remove any calcium buildup from hardwater. Every single piece I own is clear glass and they are spotless. Formula 420 literally has no use to me - I can clean my pipes better or just as good as that stuff (I have never used it so I don't know how good it really is) 20 times for $2 with stuff that my wife can pick up at the GROCERY STORE. You are wasting your time and money.
