Gypsy in your tribute to MBlaze[/quote
It's a tribute to POT...
MBlaze is my coach...
And THANKS! for posting your comments here...
I promise to do my best to respond to everyone...
I have considered it...
But it would mean a lot of extras expenses...
New coco (don't got none), new coco nutes, new pathogen control (h2o2 breaks coco down pretty fast)
What type of set up did you have with each?
Currently just two gallon pots with cann coco / perlite 75 - 25 %ish ...
My first shot at growing I went with a aero setup with two plants, I eventually dripped from the top as well and built up a powdery looking substance (mold?) just very lightly but it did leach onto the roots in the last two days. And as a personal shot I was always making a mess with the hydro no matter what.
Can you specify the reason?
The canna for me has been much easier and forgiving. It holds a consistant PH, its hard to over water, on the soil side it vegged better and has flowered twice as good as a soil plant Ive grown. Ive also enjoyed some straight OG kush grown in it and the smoke was the best ever.
So is MBlaze...
Worth a whole dollar in the right hands...
Thanks Bro!
What do you mean furious?
Like 6x a day for 15 minutes on a timer furious..? (I do that to all my plants)
Tru if you had a res you could just flood the bucket on a timer. But the other day I put the canna "coco" model nutes in a 5 gal res with a bubbler and it got real chalky and mudded out the bottom of the res so maybe you would have to drain to waist. I know they do make a hydroponic only type of nute that will probably work for the res flood setup. Also just thought of this... that tree is gonna have pounds of top heavy weight do you think the hydro will hold the roots stable?
Cheers Bro...
I know its kind of a shame for my little two grow experience to go poppin off at my mouth so Ill usually stick to my own journal around here and read about others projects goin on. But I do feel confident that coco is one of the best mediums to grow in. I have 4 clones dedicated to this right now as well. Im going to do a 18 gallon tub, and 3) 5 gallon buckets. Theres 13 gals of coco in a 50L bag. One bag is about 20 - 21 dollars. Im not sure what a hydrotron bag that size would cost but I think you have enough already. So if you do go with hyrotron, we will be able to have a slight comparison.
Oh yea and as for the H202, havent used it yet. But thats for all my grows. Canna has some youtube vids that may help you out with answering your questions there.
I also know a guy that reuses his canna for 3 - 4 grows and gets increased yeild each time until he swaps to new.
Your new grow room is gonna be sick man. I wish you trees and hope you dont mind I stick around.
Same brand's GROW JUICE...WOW! Seriously, just the bloom nutes and the H2O2? What about for feeding your mother plants?
Cheers Bro!!!hey gypsy good luck on your tree grow, hope you can emulate mblaze with those giants of his.
I've just heard of a lot of problems with coco and recirculating systems... I guess it deteriorates and may clog the pump, causing failure..its a shame you didnt get an a +b coco nute formula works really well.
I'm about to go make it now...and also did i get it right when i read your post about your water feeders come up thru the bottom of your pot?
I can see that...i also run coco and i run my feeders around the top of my pot just have a T section to link hose from pump to a round feeder and then it drains right thru the whole mix.
Bro.. I'm supposedly working on the op right now...check my link if i didnt explain it very well
just a suggestion
