Budding already

My grower/land owner called me for the first time in a while tonight. He has been out of contact for a number of weeks but tonight he says that some of the plants are budding. Is he crazy or is it possible to already be budding in the southern US? He has never grown so that could be the case. Also these are bagseeds grown to sex, cloned under 24/7 light and then planted outside.

There ya go.

Some of them took the decrease in light, when they were moved outside, as the days shortening and went into flower.

Crazy how some clones from the same mother will flower and some won't.

24/7 of light to outside light is probably the reason they are flowering. Its like a gear shift and the plants naturally noticed the light go down by a couple hours so they got to do what they know best and flower.

Well he says it is only one plant and apparently it is in full tilt budding mode with crystals and everything. Going to scope it next time I am over there and look at the tricoms (sp?).

What should I do with it? Harvest it when it gets big enough during the summer? Will anything bad happen if I let it go all the way till when I harvest the rest? I would love to be able to get a "preview" even if it was no of the same standard as letting it go "naturally".

you should pick it when its ready, regardless of what time of year and maybe you'll get some good smoke nice and early, or you could always make a shit load of good bubble hash or honey oil

maybe you have an autoflower gene that is dominant? just a guess but pick it when it says its ready. regrowth really makes for some weird looking plants and gives a bunch of popcorn buds as oposed to the buds you want.
