which is better HPS or MHand how to tell the difference between them

MH is better for veg growth.

HPS is better for flowering.

The only way you can tell by looking at them is by what the package says they are.

Super White??? Not sure. I might not remember this right so check the faqs. The hps uses a red light spectrum and runs around 2100K. MH uses a blue spectrum and runs around 6500K.

it doesnt say on the base of the bulb anywhere? where did you get them from? did you buy both and mix them up out of the package?

well i bought a 400w switchable digital ballast it came with the bulbs i u sed the what i believe to be mh the redish orange for veg and lastnight went to the hps? the one with a white blue look to it first time with lighting so i dont have a clue

the bulbs never came marked in the box they were just in plain white boxes
