Hello peeps...

Roll it up has a new contest.

SeeMoreBuds "The Perfect Garden' - (DVD) will be releases in the next couple months. Below is a copy of the DVD FACE.

We encourage you to submit any aART WORK that you think should be on the DVD FACE.

You are limited to 4 colors (white, green, black, yellow). The cleaner and more simple the design, the more likely it wil get chosen. Large images for the background are encouraged.

Simple drawings of marijuana leaves are also encouraged.

The winner will get a free DVD and a free copy of SeeMoreBuds new book (also available at Borders and Barnes and Noble in November 2007).


Prizes will be mailed in October/Novemeber

is there gonna be any other contests only there awlways aimed at the more knowledgable people. and not for stoners like me? i'd love to do this but i don't know even where to start?

Hey GK, sounds like a great competition, and for such coveted prizes too. Shame I'm not very good on a computer or I'd enter this one myself. Where is Borders, Barnes and Noble? They don't have those in my country, here we have Waterstones, WH Smith and John Menzies, also Virgin records sell a lot of cannabis cultivation-type books.

what are you talking about.... just draw a picture :)

it is easy.. you need paper and pencil.. and then a scanner to scan it into your computer... then post it!!

Is that the actual disk layout ? Is there any bleeed edging figured and do you have this in osd or jpg without the reference marks.Thanks

I made this InDesign and then exported as a pdf and then imported into PHOTOSHOP and then exported as jpeg.. LOL

I wish I could say that I understand your question.. BUT I don't... NOT INDESIGN savvy enough.. I am willing to consider all art work and even move the writing on the disk around.. or change it all together..

I have a template (in INDESIGN format) with the guidelines.. I could probably email that to you...

FYI... i export using the "package" option in INDESIGN and the FTP the entire INDEIGN folder to the DVD PRINTER...

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Ahh so you dont need it laid out just a basic design you can manipulate to fit the disc. I was asking as I was thinking you wanted it sized and fitted.I know for my music label we always have a bleed when we order which is basically a extar edging of colored ink incase they have to overstamp so you dont loose any info its like a buffer zone. If all we gotta do is send in a picture for the back ground unfitted this is the asiest ever lol.Also when you say four colors are those 4 our choices for monchromatic or can we use all 4 colors in a single design? Thanks

you can use al 4 colors... and... yeah.. ummm..

oh yeah, the bleed.. they were talking to me about the bleed today.... i still have n clue.. well, i sort of have a small clue... they said the trapsheet looked TITssss and something about the PICTURE being ok in regards to the bleed... and then they told me to move some of the writing away fom the edge (bleed) :)

the trapsheet is the art work for the DVD BOX...

Yes i just made them just for you,you can use them as you see fit.
They are probably not suitable for your cd as your black text will not be visible but i make weird pics all the time,let me know if you have any specific picture requests and ill try to make some for you.:leaf:
