why not 
that's a big pot, i say just get a big old piece of plastic, divide the pot in two then grow! just use string to pull the plants into a V as they grow so there's lots of air and light inbetween the two

deffinatley put the divider if your starting from seed and have to pull males

cardboard is gonna saok away into crap in no time after a few waterings. ideally it should be something waterproof as well, as chances are the two plants will drink different quanities.
even if clones, with a divider, you're just getting rid of a slight posibility of them getting all root tangled and such, and say one turns up to be male, hermie, a bad plant etc, and you've got to pull it, you're not gonna have a fun time doing that if you've got the other ones roots interlocked with that one

See the only way i'd do 2 plants in one pot (even with using a divider) would be that both the plants would have to be feminized seeds.

its not a good idea to put two plants in one pot... ive done it before.. and had success.. but wont make the same mistake again.. here are the reasons why..
first MJ grows based on the space they have to grow.. they wont grow as full or as big if they are all confined together... without space they wont reach their full potential...
second thing is root space.. the plants get root bound and tied together.. they fight for space and nutes.. and ultimately, again, arent able to reach their full potential... granted if you divide the pot in two you wont have a problem with it.. but it does cut down on available root space..
third is hermie tendencies... in nature when there is a group of females together there is a chance they will each produce a few seeds to ensure survival.. if you have multiple plants in each pot they can react the same way.. even if they come from clones.. i had this problem with my last grow... i didnt end up with a lot of seeds by any means... but i did end up with some...
also the larger the pot, the more soil it takes to fill, the heavier and harder it is to move... plus if you are going to use a large pot and split it why not just use two seperate pots to begin with?? they are easier to move around and space apart... much easier to water too... it was a pain in the ass trying to water around multiple plants.. and it took more frequent waterings as well...
oh.. and what if one plant gets mites?? you cant move the second plant away from it so it too will get mites...
if one plant uses nutes differently than the other, one could end up with defs while the other ends up with nute burn..
like i said i've made this mistake before.. i came out with a good harvest, but near what it should have been.. it caused more bad than good.. my situation kind of forced me to do it, but if i had to do it over again i would have done it much differently and only went with 1 plant per pot and vegged longer than i did.. but thats another story.. there is a multitude of reasons not to do more than 1 plant per pot... im just giving you my 2 cents from personal experience...

yeah, i wouldn't suggest it either, but you gotta make do with what you've got, and if one pot is really all you can get in, then might as well give it a go. the divider done properly should mean that you can water one with full strength nutes, and the other with plain h2o, and it'd be fine. that pot you mention is over 3 times the size of the pots i'm using for single plants, so i wouldn't really expect space to be a major issue, granted it won't grow as large as a single in that tub, but mathmatically it should work out the same kind of yield as a BIG single plant.
simpsonsampson points out a lot of really important reasons why it would be better if you could fit 2 pots somehow, or even just to say sod it and just put a lot of effort into growing a 6 foot monster isntead
