any expert familiar with growing patterns?

im about to enter my 6 week into flowering. when i started to flower it was already mature and almost two feet tall. it already had preflowers entering flower mode. over the weeks it grew to 4ft tall and the buds are small. now over the past few days it has stopped growing taller all together it hasnt grown at all in about a week and a half. is it using its energy to flower more or what? just curious. cuz i know harvest is comming soon.

in the first few weeks of flowering the plant with double to triple in size... usually this stops about 3 weeks into flowering tho.. they can keep growing longer tho, it just depends on the strain... my last grow i had a girl go from 2 feet to 6 feet in 4 weeks... the buds were all small until it stopped its vertical growth.. but once that happened the buds started swelling up.. it ended up being the best smoke out of all the plants i had... so dont worry... your plant is acting naturally... the buds should start swelling a lot over the next week or two...

yeah thats what i thought it was going to do but i didnt know for sure. this morning i went out there and the buds did swell ever so slightly overnight. ill try to get some new pics up today. the other crazy thing is is i had a spider tryng to live in the cola then i took it out along with its webs then the next day it was back so i killed it. then about two days ago there was a weird looking grasshopper eating the hairs.thats all it was eating was the hairs not the buds or any leaves just the hairs so i killed it lol. i should be glad thats all my problems with bugs

On s side note for you.....your plant is sativa dominant which means there is a longer flowering period than an indica. Indicas typically flower from 8-10 weeks indoors and sativas generally go to about 12 weeks indoors and you are outdoors. Your plant still has at least 6 weeks of flower time left. She does look good so keep doin what you are doin and be patient and your medicine will make you happy.

yeah im tryin to put together a timeline for the plants life. as i said it was showin prefowers when i put it in flower mode i started it outside moved it inside for a few weeks then moved it back outside. it grew double its height almost then stopped getting taller then about 20% of the hairs are orange or turning orange aND i did notice the buds are starting to bulk up. is this the last leg of the cycle? i mean in a week or two should i be watching the trichomes?

the spider would have killed the grasshopper. :wall:


you are halfway there. the buds are JUST starting to fill in. they will get thicker and tighter as the weeks go by. be patient. :weed:

patience pays off last grow i wasnt too patient and had a small harvest this time i should be a lot better off. so its been 6 weeks into the flower cycle and its been two months since it showed preflowers

im hoping so. im looking forward to this plant cu i know it was special when i smoked it. it was just bagseed and the bag came from a buddy and his buddy grew it so i was suprised there were seeds cuz ive heard of the guy who grows and this came from him
