i'm in my 4th week in a veg. my rockwool is turning green/slimy in places. i have watched mr green videos and have really searched the newbie post and i have not really been able to find a answer to this. i have my plants on a drip system now to be moved to a flood system for florwering. i'm using flor now but will turn on the mh 400 after i learn how to maintain my ph and ppm. using foxfarm nutr and mixing to the feed schedule my ppms are always high. i use disstilled water. my plants are not turning coloros on the leaves but i just thought the should be a little taller/fuller? i have been watering three times a day with my drip system for 20 minutes at a time. i know most of you are tired of hearing the same questons', but i have not been able to find a thread that gives me the info on soiless watering times.

I'm not a rockwool guy, but it sounds like you have algae. Get a cover for your cubes to protect them from light and your green will stop
I think a little hydrogen peroxide (don't get the stuff in the brown bottle, get some from your hydro shop). If you are using fox farms and distilled water, you'll also need something with calcium and magnesium or you'll notice deficiencies.The reason for your slow growth is likely lack of light. Get the mh on them as soon as you're comfortable. If you keep it cool and a few feet above the plants for a few days and gradually lower it, it won't shock them too much. Make sure you get covers first, or your algae will be worse.
not trynig to sound dumd but being new to this i thought i new some thing about this. but what i realize is that i dont know shit. what do you mean by a cover? i have my plants in a 4'x 2' mixing tub using 3 flo lights with a warm and cool bulb 6 total and i have them about 4 inches away from the tops. i have an air conditioner set at 75 degrees and the hym in the room stays around 60%. what do i use for a cover?

Not dumb at all, I should have explained. The covers are basically panda film (white on one side, black on the other) squares with a slit in them so that you can fit your plant through. Here is an example http://www.sunleaves.com/detail.asp?sku=SBC320
