i have 3 plants i planted in pots outside around end of april i used experts potting soil which is 9 month feeding and i think i also mixed it with miracle grow 3 month feeding a little peatmoss and perlite which i know was stupid but its too late. anyway it started out really good then after a few weeks they wilted really bad and all new growth and old grow became twisted and deformed. after many waterings and flushing alot they bounced back appears to be deformed a little still as the tips of new growth tend to round off and shrivel but other then that its growing good, they are almost as tall as me and 5'10 and are really bushy, i dont know what my soil ph is as i dont have a tester but i did throw some lime on top and water it in really good, my main question is should i not fertilize these plants at all cause they have the nutes they need from the soil? or will fertilizing make the ph worse and make the plant deform even more?

sounds like you nuted the shit out of it ! i would NOT add any more fertilizer at this time...keep it at plain water....look for signs of deficiencies and then correct. IF you can re pot in something better would be more ideal. you will need to check your PH to solve any issues though.

nutes are the last of your problems right now bro.. if you flushed as much as you said, there shouldnt be very much left in the soil... its good you know your first mistake was making a toxic mix like that to begin with... i would venture to guess the damage that is done... as long as they are growing ok now, you cant ask for more as your lucky they didnt die from nute burn earlier in life.... the biggest issue you have is not knowing your ph... do you check the ph of the water you use or the run off at all?? or are you completely lacking of all ph meters?? the problem is without knowing your soils PH, adding nutes could be pointless.. if the ph is too high or too low you will end up with lockout, so the nutes that you add would be wasted... the then you have to worry about salt build up and the soils ph becoming possibly worse... the best advice i can give you is to get a ph meter and check where you are at first... get the soil ph and your water ph in check.. then worry about the nutes.. adding the nutes should help.. as i said your soil is probably about flushed dry of them.. but it will be pointless to do unless you get the ph in check and make sure they are available to the plant... sort of like starting from square one.. you also should start out with a 1/4 strength application and increase from there.. again... square one..

Thanks for the responses i am in the process fo looking for a good ph meter i can get form local stores (very limited) so i dont have to buy online and wait for shipping . As for the water, i have a 3 gallon watering pot i fill up and leave outside for a few days then water the plants with that water and keep repeating so the water i use has sat for a few days everytime. i will test this water when i get a meter to make sure my water method is good.
