When to add bloom nutes

I am a new grower so forgive me if this is a dumb question. Wouldn't giving the plants grow nutes until the hairs start to cluster make the plant grow larger thus increasing yield?

Yeh thats what ive been saying dude, you are giving them grow until hairs show, them bloom when they show sex.

actually just because you change to 12/12 doesn't mean its flowering mr factual..
you are forcing it to flower with 12/12.. it doesn't start to flower until YOU SEE flowers. and never cut out veg nutes (Nitro) when flowering... it always needs nitrogen.. maybe the last 2-4 weeks before harvest you should lower it since it is putting all it's energy into the flower/resin production.

if you add bloom nutes too early I believe the plant will use the P else where.. (root growth which will signal outgrowth/stretching)

I'm not sure how people seem to think the plant is flowering soon as you switch 12/12... we are mearly tricking the plant into thinking its time to flower.. only when its starts to throw flowers is when it's flowering. things don't happen as fast as you might believe.... you have to ease into the bloom nutes while easeing off the veg nutes and the right combination along the way will work the best...

Thanks. I'll increase the N with tomorrows watering. So far I have received conflicting suggestions. So no bloom nutes for my 2 plants that are budding until the days shorten or my other plants start to flower also?

This plant is already showing resin though.
 
Go with your gut LOL... Why bother asking questions??? Better yet let them wither and die and then blame everyone else here for your lack of knowledge.......

no flowers = not flowering regardless of light schedule.
i dont force flower my plants either i wait untill they are mature and showing signs of sex.
and dont talk shit saying you should continue feeding vegg nutes in flower as bloom nutes have nitro in them if you have ever bothered to look or have used them.

Nutrients And Marijuana Grown In Soil

Nutrient (or fertilizer) is food for plants. Marijuana plants need a certain amount of food in order to grow properly. The primary nutrients in plant foods are Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K).
In addition to nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium, marijuana plants require a lesser amount of secondary nutrients and trace quantities of other elements.
Secondary nutrients are calcium, sulphur, and magnesium. Trace elements are small quantities of boron, copper, molybdenum, zinc, iron, and manganese.
Plant foods are measured in an N-P-K format
N is Nitrogen
P is Phosphorus
K is Potassium
A 15-15-15 plant food contains:
15% Nitrogen
15% Phosphorus
15% Potassium
A 20-10-10 plant food contains:
20% Nitrogen
10% Phosphorus
10% Potassium
The percentage of the solution not used by nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium is secondary nutrients, trace elements, and inert material.
An all purpose fertilizer with secondary elements like calcium, sulphur and magnesium and trace elements boron, copper, molybdenum, zinc, iron, and manganese will get you through all stages of growth. But during different stages of life, you can adjust the different nutrient levels needed at different times to optimize growth.
After germination, when growing marijuana in soil, you should water feed (no nutrients) the plants for the first week or two. Almost all soil will contain some amount of fertilizer for the plant to feed on.
A minimal amount (or no) fertilizer should be added to the water for the first week or two. Then use a 50% solution for two weeks, then go to a 100% solution.
Plants are delicate at this stage and can go for a week or two with a minimal amount of food. At the maximum, use a solution that is no more than 50% of the strength of the recommended level.
That is, if the nutrient manufacturer recommends mixing one tablespoon of nutrient to every gallon of water, you should add less than half a tablespoon of nutrient to every gallon of water for the first two weeks after germinating.
Do not give your plants extra fertilizer thinking it will make them grow faster. Too much will kill your plants. If you under fertilize, plants will take longer to grow but will not die. Follow the mixing instructions on the package, if you aren't sure, use less rather than more.
During vegetative growth the plants need lots of N (nitrogen). They also need a fair amount of P (phosphorus) and K (potassium). A plant food that is 20-10-10, or 30-15-15, or something similar, with trace elements should do a very good job.
During flowering the plants need more P (phosphorus) and more K (potassium) than they did during vegetative growth. They need some N (nitrogen) but not as much as they did during vegetative growth. They also need calcium.

If you used:
--- something like 20-10-10 for vegetative growth, then try using 10-20-20 (or similar) for flowering.
--- something like 30-15-15 for vegetative growth, then try using 15-30-30 (or similar) for flowering.
If you can't find nutrients containing the proper combination for your needs (or you are not sure what kind of nutrient to get), look for a plant food recommended for growth when the plant is in the first stages of life.
Look for a plant food recommended for blooming (or flowering) when the plant is in the flowering stage. Make sure any plant food you use contains nutrients and trace elements. And remember that during flowering, calcium is important.

I will admit I do have a lack of knowledge. I have never grown anything in my life. Like I said before, my first attemt at growing was a disaster. I take full blame for that unsuccesful grow. I did not and would not blame anybody else. I was too impatient with the plants in my first grow. I over watered and over fertilized them to the point where I thought it would be better and easier to start off new. I have taken my time with this new grow and I let nature takes it course. I have gradually increased nutes and currently, I am using more grow nutes then what is recommended on the bottle. I guess I will have to pay closer attention to them and givw them what they need instead of going by the nutrient directions.

I am a total noobie and I appreciate the info all of you have supplied. I was a bit confused beacause I received conflicting suggestions about when to give bllom nutes. I was initially told not to give bloom nutes until the days shorten. Fine, makes sense but my 2 out of my 6 plants started to bud outdoors so I asked the if I should start giving bloom to the 2 plants only.

My plants have shown their sex quite a while ago. I pulled all the males over a month ago. Luda, according to you, I should have begun feeding my plant bloom nutes when I first determined sex? I know that they are all female. I was waiting to give my other plants bloom nutes until I start to see more of the little white hairs. The other plants do show some white hairs but not a lot and not clustering like the first 2 plants have done.

Again, I apologize if my questions are stupid. I just wanted to have a successful grow and to learn from my experience. Thanks again to all who have given me advice.

give those budding plants bloom nutes and maybe a fraction or the veg nutes.. they are in blooming nicely as i can see.. you can probly get away with no veg nutes if your bloom nutes have a decent N value.. or maybe luda wants to tell me plants don't need veg/nitro during flowering..
