method of drying?

i was just wondering do you get more thc to drain into the buds if you leave the roots on? or should i just cut it cuz it makes no difference? whats your method of drying

and how long should i cure it for? a week? 5 days? i know drying takes what like atleast 5

i plan to do this tommorow morning i have the lights on until i go to bed normally they would turn off at 9 so another hour should do it. give it some extra juice (and it wont fuck with it too bad, not enough to matter)

what if i just left it on all night?

Do not leave the roots on. You should cut off the branches and hang them individually. The cannabiniods are mostly in the cystals not the stem. Then hang them upside down in a dark dry place, with a little air movement.

You should hang them for at least 5 days. Them stems should be just starting to break. Then I cut the buds off the stems and into a air tight glass jar. Open the class jar a few times a day, to aviod moisture build up. The longer you leave it in the jar the better it will taste, smell, and smoke.

Are you talking about nutes (juice)? Most ppl flush 2 weeks before harvest to avoid a chemical tast in their weed. Plus the dryer the soil\plant is when you harvest, the less time it has to dry. IMO

Alot of ppl prefer to cut them down when they are just waking up. I'm not exactly sure why. We should both read up on it. It's around here somewere.

most ppl cut the plant at night because thats when all the sugers and the staRches go to the roots and by cutting at night it keeps that shit outta your buds...its done mostly for smoother smoke......your welcome....if any thing i said here helped you dont forget to +rep...thankx

I thought it was due to resin production happening at night mostly and resin degradation happening when exposed to light.... the day. So you harvest at first light and some will give them 24-72 hours of continuous dark before taking them to supposedly maximize this effect. Then again, I'm just regurgitating what I've gleaned so far in my reading here.

Could be? Like I said, I should read up more. I do remember reading somethng about them not obsorbing while sleeping.

ive always hung them upside down in a dark room, cut them stem close to the dirt as you can and leave it for at least 7 to 11 days, make sure you trim the big fan leaves first or its a pain.. then cut away toss em in a cooler and enjoy. just my 2 cents...

Indeed. Then take of the fan leaves. Then hang it, dry it, manicure it and cure it.

I personally harvest after almost 2 days of darkness [its meant to increase resin, although i must admit, i dont notice much differnce, im just stuck in my ways now.]

There is nothing wrong with. I just doesn't do any good. Seems like it would be pretty messy though.

ya could hold it by the base and take the pot off and drip it in water till all the soil is gone, just an idea. and if, if there is thc in the roots, hanging it upside down might make better buds...

Do not boil the roots it will do nothing for your bud. Just cut at the stalk and let it dry. Leaving the roots on will only slow down the drying process and you could potentially get mold and fungus growth.

Yes just cut it at the stock, put it in a dark room hang it upside down come back in 4 to 7 days to see how well it has driedi usually wait about 7 to 11, but ive had some bad luck with heat stress as of late made some ugly jack herrera...
