Thanks Jenni, I like Sophia. Ill use that one!!

As for the Bloom Room, Ive been thinking about going vertical for a while now. So today I decided to re-arrange everything and do it!! Go BIG or Go Home right?!!:hump:
I took the 400 watt bulb out of the cooltube/reflector it was in, and now I have it hanging about 12 inches from the plants.
I know the bulb gets hot, so I still have the exhaust duct above the bulb sucking hot air out.
Tomorow I will add Grace to the Bloom Room. Watch out guys/gals, these girls are really getting BIG!!!

PICTURES!!!!
I had to put the cooltube back around the light because my temps got up to 80 degrees f without it. Im happy to report that with the cooltube the temps are back to 75 degrees f all day!! Perfect!!

Everybody welcome Grace to the Bloom Room
She is looking extra lovely today. No complaints that I can think of.

Jenni has nute burn.... My bad. Bubba Kush is a very easy plant to grow. She doesnt require alot of attention at all. All I really need is Fox Farm Soil and plain water. It seems like they burn pretty easy with nutrients. They rarely show signs of deficiencies.

Bertha is looking great!!! Tall as hell and dark green too!! :weed:

Yep, its the BigTomatoFarmer back again with another update from the Bloom Room!!

As you already know, I recently put my 400 watt HPS vertical. I think it was a good move, now my plants have more light all over, instead of just the top.
And on a side note, I do rotate the plants 1/2 turn everyday.

I also flattened the reflector and taped it to the outside of the cooltube. This way even more light is reflected back to the plants!! My girls are loving it!!

Pic #1 Bloom Room Family picture/ I have 3 ladies in there right now. All of them were flowered at different times, so I will get a perpetual harvest. Atleast one plant every month.

pic #2 & 3 Bertha. She is looking very lovely. No complaints from her at all.

pic #4 & 5 Jenni is my smallest girl in the Bloom Room and currently sufferring from nute burn. I gave her the same strength feeding as my other two larger girls. I should have known that Jenni was smaller and didnt need as much. Oh well, live and learn

pic #6 & 7 Grace. Its hard to believe that Grace almost died as a youngling. About a week after I took her as a clone she began to wilter and showed no signs of roots. But I had faith and she pulled through. Just look at her now, so Big and beautiful. Im normally not into BBW, but damn!! Grace is HOT!!!

Hope you guys/gals enjoy

Hey BigT

The thing I like about your style is your into good plant health.
Getting the basics right is the foundation for successful growing.

Without that your gonna struggle.
But you got it down freind.

Well done.

All your plants look great... at all stages of growth ;)

Thanks Mammath. I actually cant take much credit for the healthy plants. Bubba Kush is a very easy strain to grow. I use Fox Farm Ocean Forrest Soil and I only add nutrients when I feel like they need them. But for the most part I just add water. Its that easy!!!
The only problem I have had is nute burn.
Thanks for the feedback bro

Looks good BigT!
I like how you named them all :)
Haha yeah I dont know why I did that. I just felt like naming them one day. Kinda weird I guess. But naming them helps me keep track of who is who. And I think it helps their self esteem too

u called 1 cindy!!! fair play all ur plants are lookin very good mate keep it up b check out my monsters in my sig they are huge:joint:
Cindy is a good name, and I had a friend in highschool named Cindy. So when you mentioned Cindy, I was like ok!!
Sweet dude, Im gunna check your journal in a minute.

Thank you everybody for taking an interest in my journal.
I learned everything I know about growing from RIU. So this journal is my way of giving back to the community. I hope you all enjoy it!!!

Thanks good buddy. And I appreciate the feedback, especially from someone with so few posts. You've been here since 2007 and have less than 200 posts. nice kiss-ass

YEP  you read the title right!!
I am going to chronicle the making of some killer keif. pressed keif.
Heres the plan...... 8)
pic #1 I start out with my Bubba Kush
pic #2 Then I put a little bud in the grinder and grind that shit up
pic #3 Some bud thats been grinded thouroughly
pic #4 After a few buds go through the grinder, I take a look at the keif resevoir located under the screen in the grinder.
pic #5 I empty the keif resevoir into the keif press and re-assemble the keif press.

I am starting over from scratch with my keif press.
Everytime I load the keif press I will log it here.
After about 10-15 loads I will smoke itbongsmilie
Until then smoke on friends :peace:

who doesnt love keif?
its like the icing on a cake.
and speaking of sweet things......

Ive been reading alot about molasses here on RIU.
And I figure, Ill give it a go.
Ive never used molasses, so I am anxious to see if there will be any difference with its use. I guess time will tell.
I mixed 1 TableSpoon unsulphered molasses with 1 gallon pure distilled water. Ill let it sit for a day and then check its ph. See how the molasses affected ph.
So tomorow when I water my girls in the flower room, they will get their first taste of molasses. Hopefully they like it.
Should I use it with my girls in the Grow Room too? I dunno, maybe I will.

I actually used Mollasas for the first time on my last grow.

I have mixed reactions about it. It did seem to plump up the buds when I used it and I think it made the smoke smoother.

People disagree with me on this on though: The longer I cure it, the more I can smell and taste the mollasas, seems like it kind of muddled the natural flavor of the final cured bud.

I now have decided to use a product from Technaflora called "Sugar Daddy". It is basically just simple sugars like the mollasas idea but it is a lot easier and cleaner than the black stuff :)

Just my thoughts :)

I am glad I read your post before I watered all my girls with molasses. I was kinda iffy:confused: about it, but now Im sure. :hump:

So instead of using molasses on all of them, I am only going to use molasses on Grace. :weed:

This way, I will be able to see the difference myself. And everyone else watching this journal can witness the difference too.

Grace with molasses. Everybody else plain water. :peace:

Also, Ill check into that "sugar daddy" see what I can find

On to the pictures.
pic # 1 & 2 Bertha. Damn she is so fine. :hump: So big and beautiful

pic # 3 & 4 Jenni. Sorry guys, (and Jenni) but she is still recovering from her nute burn. But dont worry, the buds are still dense and fat as hell!!! :weed:
Jenni is almost ready for harvest. Less than two weeks!!!!

pic # 5 & 6 Grace. I will begin feeding Grace with molasses tomorow. I will monitor her reaction (if any) and post it here for you guys/gals. She is looking very healthy and dark green. We will see how it goes.:blsmoke:

Yeah, I got the "Sugar Dady" when I bought the Technaflora Recipe for Success starter kit.

You have to use a lot of it according to the directions but I think it is just sooo much cleaner. Does not goop up my watering containers like mollasas. Also the black stuff started to ferment a little in one of my gallon containers after about a week with just plain tap water :)

And there is NO WAY I would ever consider mollasas in a hydro setup, too messy.
