When to start with blooming ferts?

Hi
Was wondering when to switch over from vegetative fertilzer to the blooming stuff?
Do we wait for those little white hairs to appear or should it start beforehand?

Also I keep reading 'pre-flowers' but have no clue what they look like? Can someone maybe post a pic of them?

thanks in advance

I give veg nutes through the first week of flowering. After that it bloom nutes. So to answer your question, I start them the 2nd week of flowering.

gave em a 36 hour dark spell, then first watering in 12/12 had full strength veg and bloom (biobizz). havn't noticed any unwated side effects yet other than tricomes forming ;) so it must be doing something right :D

nah, i'm indoors.

not sure if the 36 hour was a good or bad thing, just stretched em out a little bit, maybe useful, who knows :D

If you are forcing flowering outdoors, as I am, I find that setting an empty (clean, of course) plastic garbage container over them works pretty good to create a 12/12 light cycle. I put the garbage "can" over them at 7:30 pm and remove it at 7:30 am. Smaller plants, a cardboard box works.

Have you done this with success before? If so, I'm willing to attempt this trick.:bigjoint:
