SS420's new hydro grow - Blueberry, White Shark, ChemDog, OG kush

ive got this 1 road..out in the middle of no where. there will be a white tail buck ...probably a few of them.. posted up in middle of this field. ive also seen elk there. im going to spend rife season back in there. it border blm, and the rest this old ass farmer owns, and i got permission 2yr back. im after a nasty white tail, and a if i even see an elk, cow, bull wutever, and its in the the vicinity of my vehicle, dude lead is flying, and i hardly ever miss. . . ive shot plenty of does in the head on the run.. lil bouncey fuckers bounce no more when u hear that thump. oh man i get excited. go sharpen the knifes and oil the guns.. maybe even iron my sick organge and black camo fleece top..

its time to start the grow now.. at least we can see what this system can do.... i went ahead and transplanted the sprouts into the hydro system...

im at about 900ppm in the reservoir.. if its too much for the sprouts to handle ill add some more water and thing out the reservoir solution a little.. i think they will be fine tho.. they had really nice root systems already...

so these are my soon to be lovely ladies and the lovelies i already have going...

for all those who are just joining in, this fills my garden with the following 10 strains...

3 blueberry
1 white shark
1 strawberry cough
1 super lemon haze
1 matanuska tundra
1 gigabud
1 bluehaze
1 power kush
1 white widow
1 og kush

should be about 4 weeks from now when i flower.. or i hope... somewhere around there... anyways... enjoy the family pics

ill be proud as soon as they start growing.. im a happy parent for sure tho... im really stoked about this.. things are coming together better than any grow... my biggest concern is space now... its going to get really packed in there in about a month.. i cant imagine how itll be after the flowering stretch.. i think i might need to do an 18/6 to get that little bit of stretch in early... they are just getting bushier and bushier...

so they made it through the nite... and they all seem happy.... the little girls that is... i sprayed them down with a cloning solution that can be used a foilar spray this morning... keep them pushing roots... it says to spray them every 2 days.. but thats during clonging/rooting... i think i will at least every 3 days for a week or two.. at least until i see soild growth start.. i dont imagine though that it will take long for them to start pushing out new growth on a solid rate.... they have plenty of light.. plenty of water.. plenty of nutes.. plenty of fresh air and circulation... and everything is stable now...

i sort am.. i dunno.. i guess i just am pesimistic when it comes to the "new territory" shit now.. like anything i have done, regardless of how much ive done it in soil, when i do it in the hydro system, i assume failure... this way it if does go bad i dont get so down on myself... once i know how things act and react in this system from start to finish i wont worry or seemed as "noobie" surprised.. my main concern was the PPM of the solution and the sprouts not being able to handle it.. i was plesantly surprised when they all were just fine... so once i see them survive, and see how flowering goes, it'll be like any other grow i've done in the past.. just clock work... just getting through these trial and error stages are what gets me edgey...

i feel ya SS...hydro is can be nerve racking..but its just mental anxiety. your ebb and grow aint fucking with ya, itz your head. bout two years ago, i set that 600hps and 400w hps (now mh) both in this master closet..i couldnt figure how to light a 2foot deep by 7 long shitty closet, so i just chained those 2 lights together. i dont know why i didnt do soil. maybe i have high ambitions, or the knuckle wuz swollen..but i went off on my hydro ways. and im not talking like buy a tray or ebb and flow ...or gro system.. im talking MR. silocone. I took a 8'' sewer tube, cut 3'' net pots into the top of it, like 6 of em. and mounted this pipe on a pitch, cut into on the downward slope and rubbermaid tub. so it drained back towards the rez. then i simply ran some 1/2'' poly pipe to my submerssible pump. then i ran a corney drip system to the net pots. i just did a constant drip. Man the system was flawed. first the 8 '' sewer tube was to heavy to sit correctly pitched to the rez, so it kept slumping the rez. then algea like a motherfukcer. had to change drippers constanly..and finally all the plumbing . but i can say just from my jank experience with build your own, cut corner, and jankely, the seeds i started grew into 4 foot monster in 5weeks of veg. jsut crazy stalks , and growth. i did bud them ..i wish i had pics, so u guys could laugh ur ass's off on a ghetto 1k w grow. it wuz a good learning experience. if u had asked me bout ph back then i would have looked at you all stupid. come along ways..

i guess this story just re affirms to me , ss youll do good. this aint your first walk, and you will be able to spot problems far enought ahead...just dont take any vacations quite yet

thanks for that cofidence boost... its always nice when you and mg bring my back to earth sometimes... its not often i tweak out over dumb little shit.. but sometimes i tend to do it a little bit more than i should when i do..

hell ya bro.. you should have all the answers by the time your read!! lol you'd think i'd start following other hydro grows just to get tips and shit.. i dunno why i dont.. i guess i just like doing it alone first, and figuring out the problems as i go... its becomes comforting the more i encounter problems and over come them without much assistance... know what i mean??

ya u should be soo good once u figure out ur likes and dislikes w/. ur new system...and just a solid routine.. i wuz doing some reading on that al.b fuct hydro guide..and out of all his experience your hyro system will def. speed up all aspects of growing. you may be able to do a 60 day plant in 42 days. im stoked to have your journal up for our access , so i can watch and calculate your times, as i progress to installing my own hydro system as well. keep it rolling SS.

I hope that you can hit a 42 to 45 day harvest...Ill definatley be watching close. 45 days would give me about 3 extra harvests a year, if you were harvesting monthly like myself.

that would be crazy good if i could hit a 45 day harvest.. really that would speed shit up a lot.. a harvest every month and a 1/2... means a solid 8 harvests a year... that would be amazing!

well here are some 2 week pics as promised.. its actually 2 weeks from what i consider day 1, which was actually week 3 i think.. but since they didnt have a chance before the chiller, its 2 weeks from the installation of the chiller.. anyways... just to keep it interesting, here are some pics... these are the blueberries

oh, and i fired a couple sprouts.. not from nute burn.. it was actually heat stress... i had them in the middle of the room under the hps lamps.. the lamps were cool.. but the room was really warm.. its been hot the last couple days... and right in the very middle of the room i guess must be the worst air movement or a warm spot or something.. it was only 2 of the sprouts.. the very two middle pots.. which happened to be the 2 strains i have more seeds of.. so i soaked new root cubes in a clonex solution and soak the seeds in water over night.. hopefully they pop in a few days.. i moved all the sprouts to the outsides to say the least under the floros... the perimeter of the room im sure has the most air movement so its will be better.. and the floros, although as good as the HIDs, are more forgiving as well.. minor set back.. nothin major! all the other sprouts look great!!
