Have you ever lived on the eastcoast?? ever been to Virginia, Penn., Florida etc.? i grew up in virginia and if you never been to VA than you really have nothing to base that comparison on. Thanks for the concern though...my motto is "be prepared for the worst"

Let me just say it helps to choose the county you want to live in and do a DAILY search on GOOGLE NEWS (it has thousands of news sources) such as:

marijuana humboldt (not in qoutes) and it will spit out all the new news articles (and those from the past if you choose, all the way back). it's a good time now because it's growing season and there's a lot of activity!

do this and you will get a wealth of info on how the cops and DA and feds roll in that county. the counties differ. in some (less now) the cops will still fuck with yuo,specially if they don't know your craw.

Thanks for the links doc...i Plan on staying within the legal guidelines as me and my fiancee will both be medical users. Also, i'm not moving out to cali chasing money and dreams...i'm chasing happiness and freedom from persecution also i want to help people and eventually open up a seed bank and breed all sorts of new strains.

lol.. people moving to cali to grow/grow medicinal... just funny...cuz if u move there.. dont get ur card... ur going to grow anyways... might as well stay where u are and grow. but i guess cali would be cool to live in.

i personally wouldn't cuz i get free health care *Canada* plus i think cops are easier going here. and people are nicer. lots more room to grow.

Yo, get your card. The cops will come. Always think this way. They came to our pad on some completely unrelated issue and saw the plants. So get your card because there's nothin more liberatin' than growin' your medicine in the rays of the sun with the protection of the law.

As long as its as easy to get your card as everyone makes it out to be then i'll be fine. I already use it medicinally...just illegally medicinally, lol. But like i said before i have severe anxiety, and stomach pains(doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me) as well as alot of other problems but i'm not gonna go into all my problems, lol

First-Read the ENTIRE thread before you post your two cents

Second-I asked for advice from people who lived in the Area i'm moving to...or even if you just live in the STATE of CALIFORNIA...but YOU live in a whole nother country so you have ZERO advice that would be helpful to me soo...stop wasting space on my thread

also like dude said above, santa rosa, + petuluma, napa, and sonoma, may be the most economical desionions, but the commute to oakland will suk ass in the mornings.. bad.. id try for NOVATO CA if ur looking for affortablity and wanna get to oakland in 20 minutes. that or point richmond in the city. RICHMOND would be like 5 minutes, and the cheapest option. but u may not like living in the ghetto.

I have family in Myrtle Beach actually. Also, have family in Ohio, Chicago, Iowa, and Kansas City. Personally, I think tilemaster was right on. Although, there are MANY parts of the Bay Area that are NOT ghetto, and are plenty nice, and the laws don't get any friendlier for growing cannabis.

im sad i moved from the bay ..20year ++sf general baby... i loved where i lived , marin county..san rafael are..terra linda specifically, and santa ventia.. any 1 from the SV china camp area?? housing is retardedly expensive. id be like FDD and move as far north as possible to the country side..but than ur commute will blow...

I am going and visiting in October and taking the Basic Seminar at Oaksterdam. I will be there for a week and the seminar is a weekend seminar, so i'll have a couple days to drive out to Sonoma and/or Humboldt. I was hoping to be able to sell to the dispensaries for a while when i get out there. I really want to get a job at a dispensary and i think that the best way to do it would be by taking ALL the courses at Oaksterdam. I know That the courses are kinda expensive but i figure that if i take All of them that the oaksterdam staff will remember my name and face and i hope to get accepted for an internship. Once you complete an internship at the college, they actively work to find you a job. Also i feel that the more time that i spend at the college, the more knowledge i will be graced with, and the more contacts i will meet in the industry. I am definately willing to put in as much time and energy as it takes to break into the industry because growing Ganja is the first thing that i truly enjoy doing. I also use Mary Jane to combat my severe anxiety and stomach pains(its amazing how many things one plant can do!). Anyway...please let me know if you live in the area and/or have worked at a dispensary, sold to the dispensaries, etc...Thanks in advance

I would suggest to go/near San Francisco. Lots of gay ppl there with aids. and old rich folks that have money :). Try Santa Rosa, it's very nice and you have perfect weather out there. You could even try a hick town called Red Bluff, lot's of room to move around and good weather.
