Every military service member has taken an oath to "protect and defend the constitution of the United States against enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. Bush & Cheney are both liars & traitors. For the second time, stop insulting me because of what I do. You use the word 'professor' as a weapon and it's completely outside the realm of logical and tactful debate. Do you not agree? If I never admitted that I was a professor, would the term lose its salience?

And I do agree that the ideas matter more than the person. The irony is that this thread focuses on the PERSON, not the IDEAS. That's my main criticism. Everything's an ad hominem. Let's debate the ideas. I'm more than willing to do that.

The thread started with Beck's ideas on legalization. I completely disagree with his theory that legalization of marijuana is dangerous because it is a drag on the health care system in that it makes people more sick. I think marijuana heals, not ails. So I disagree with Beck's argument.

I also disagree with his method of argumentation, which is to insult and bully. So I don't watch his SHOW (emphasis on 'show').

I just read this last page and have three comments:

1. I am sorry I clicked onto a Glenn Beck link I tried not to!
2. I don't know where the Professor thing came from or if he is one or not, but if so (it is how the last page read), how can anyone use the fact that someone took all the years and study to get a PHD, be used as an insult! Be proud of that it is an amazing accomplishment and we need more like you. And if I am coming into a conversation late, whoops, but I still stand by not using someones immense education as an insult.
