i wonder if i stick my air hose into the soil by the root ball would this have a postive effect on the growth
o2 really is the driving force in hydro
but i am swiching to soil and im wondering would sticking an airhose into the soil stemulate groth in a soil grow the way it does in a hydro grow

( i am noticeing air holes on the trees when i walk in the park around the base of the stem atlease i think that this is what they are doing)

For sure man, Ive seen lots of people who line there entire pots with serrated air line in a spiral pattern from top to bottom. Air is only pumped threw the line in each container like once a week. I have no exp with it so im unsure of the advantages.

The only thing that is going to happen is you're going to plug up your air hose and blow out your air pump. But good luck with that.

Yeah the ones i saw didn't use an airstone for that reason(the get clogged). The serrated air line ran thru sponge's in 3 spots at the bottom and middle of the pot. like green cross said.

thanks everybody igues i would have to test many ways but the concept seems graet and workable sounds like it may make soil become dryer faster but sounds like it will do more good than nothing at all
like i had said earlyer ive noticed that when the city plant trees they put what looks like air holes in the soil around the tress and some times they put them around the base of the tree like a ring has anyone else seen this .

and i wonder if straws would serve the same purpose in a growroom

the coco fiber sound great. i dont think it will beable to clogg the air stone the way soil would , soil is very fine while fiber is great for airation

and as far as a seald 20ltr drum with a tap and stik an air stoe in that. i need more info i dont know what you mean

just a 20 leter buckit with a lid and a tap srewed into it with an air pump with an air stone through a hole in the lid so its bubbling away untill you need oxiginated water then top up with new water.:spew:
