Please send mine the same memo tyvm.it makes thc because I sent it a memo saying to,
But how do you explain the fact that there are parts of the human brain that are stimulated exclusively by cannabinoids?collects pollen, protection from the sun, protection from preditors. It gets you high because thats just how its works, like poison ivy has an effect or some poisonous berries do on people, just cause it works for us doesnt mean it was meant for use.
its a weed. it will continue to thrive thousands of years after we are dead and gone. we have nothing to do with its survival as a species.Cannabis has formed a symbiotic relationship with mankind. We cultivate them and (generally) take good care of them and make sure the species continues to thrive, and the plants keep producing more of those lovely lovely cannabinoids that made us want to grow the stuff in the first place!
thats how thc gets us high, not why a plant produces thc. good post though.Real reason:
Plants and animals utilize endorphins and other related chemicals to carry out life processes. These endorphins/neurotransmitters/other chemicals have a remarkable similarity to each other despite species. They are just fundamental to almost all life processes in multicellular creatures.
It just so happens that some of those chemicals in marijuana are so incredibly similar to the same neurotransmitters our body naturally produces and uses that the body doesn't know the difference... and with THC specifically - it stimulates the cannabinoid receptors in our brains that normally respond to Anandamide. Anandamide release causes a similar natural high most often experienced as 'runners high'.
Or in other words the body just confuses foreign THC with Anandamide (which the body naturally produces).
I was trying to point out that THC and the other psychoactive chemicals are found in all living things and we know why it's generally there. Marijuana is not a unique plant in that aspect. All plants use those chemicals as intracellular messengers/stimulators, not to make insects high, animals high, etc... not too mention that THC won't get anything high without a fair amount of heat being applied prior to ingestion. And that just doesn't occur in nature often enough to be an intended consequence.thats how thc gets us high, not why a plant produces thc. good post though.
Fair enough, although if I was feeling picky I'd point out that it's not a weed, it's a herb .its a weed. it will continue to thrive thousands of years after we are dead and gone. we have nothing to do with its survival as a species.
The biggest misconception is that cannabis is a weed, it is in fact a plant, and a higher order plant at that.its a weed. it will continue to thrive thousands of years after we are dead and gone. we have nothing to do with its survival as a species.
But how do you explain the fact that there are parts of the human brain that are stimulated exclusively by cannabinoids?
I just realised Idk nearly enough about this to get into a proper discussion, so I'm off researching, brb.
