Alleged Hamilton Marijuana Internet Operation Busted</STRONG>

(ANGOLA) - A Hamilton woman accused of filling orders for marijuana seeds from around the country over the internet was formally charged on Wednesday by Steuben County Prosecutors with a pair of Class D felonies. 20-year-old Laura Allece Wass is facing charges of dealing in marijuana over 30 grams on the internet and maintaining a common nuisance. Not guilty pleas were entered on her behalf during Wednesday's initial hearing, bond was set at $10,000 and a pre-trial conference was scheduled for December 4th in front of Magistrate Randy Coffey. According to Steuben County court documents, the investigation involved not only local law enforcement agencies but the U.S. Postal Service and the federal Drug Enforcement Agency as well. The investigation started in early June after Ashley Police had gotten an e-mail from a woman who said her son had stolen money from her safety deposit box to order marijuana seeds from a web site based in Hamilton. Hamilton Police were notified and a department officer set up an undercover e-mail account. It was later determined by authorities that Wass allegedly received mail from all over the country. A search warrant was executed Tuesday morning as Wass and a man living at the residence on Lane 150-H were arrested. Court documents identified the man as Jesse Steven Groth who was wanted on Michigan warrants for federal mail fraud, wire fraud as well as for delivery and manufacturing of marijuana. Court documents also indicate that police found processed and dried marijuana in the home along with scales, indoor marijuana growing equipment and over 100 marijuana plants. It was also mentioned in the case file that numerous marijuana seeds were packaged and ready to be shipped.

I wouldn't blame swerve. This has been a long time coming. Elite has been operating on borrowed time for awhile. Selling to anyone and everyone in the US was asking for trouble. No matter how much it helped us all out.

He slipped and got busted. Having the money sent to the house that he's growing the seeds in to distribute, which is the same house you live in and using real names, using the mail service, etc. Christ, seems like he'd have multiple addresses. At least do the growing in a different house, not the one you deal from and live in.

This sucks, I liked dealing with elite.

Elite was bold I thought that laura wass was a dummy name and the guy knew some chick in Indiana but lived in Cali... I'd hate to see anybody do Fed time. Crazy selling beans, growing 100 plants, and getting money order for said beans delivered to the same address. crazy man. I don't but maybe I have a bit of decency, but in my book when you dog someone out for no good reason you usually admit fault and are at least apologetic about it. IMO Y'all should be mad at elite right now... He fucked a lot of people out of money and put people in potential legal harm (granted it seems he was shipping his shit out and got busted which is totally out of his control)...Still he lied to people and gained their trust with that lie. To me that is kind of shady. He also didn't seem like all too bright of a guy, fleeing from a warrant....setting up an illegal seed ring...and publicizing it heavily...I don't know if I were him and I bounced on a serious warrant you just get the fuck out of town lay low and bounce out of the country.
