Regeneration and Increased Potency/Flavor

So everyone knows that you can regenerate harvest plants indoors by resetting the light cycle...

My question is this. Has anyone else who has done this noticed an increase in the potency and flavor from 2nd and 3rd harvesting from the same rootstock?
Everyone should also know that the older the rootstock is the sweeter and tastier the fruit i.e. grapes, blueberries, peaches etc...

yes regeneration increases flavor, not too sure if it did much for the la confidential, but i'm trying it with sage as we speak

ive heard this from old school growers, every year it gets better. but idk. they did it outdoor
My Pineapple has gotten better everytime, sweeter tasting and stonier we are on the 3rd regeneration....
Wow I am so fucking jealous of these people who have the freedom and/or land to this. Regening Outdoor?! That shit has to be unbelievable.... Damn I need to relocate.

I chop all the major colas, leaving the lower baby stems with the undeveloped buds. The plant will develop shoots out of these sites. Then I turn off the lights for 2 days and then on for 18/6 again. In about a week you will see new vegetation. A couple days or a week or 2 after that you can then chop off all of the baby buds that should be now developed enough. When it gets to your desired height cut back to 12/12 again for flowering.
Works everytime!

What's your reasoning for turning off the lights for a couple days? Just curious, I have an Afgoo girl I would like to try this with.

yes, i was wondering the same thing. ji was told to put her into 24hrs. for 2 weeks then when i notice new growth, to go back to 12/12. why the 48 hrs of dark?

confuses them so they dont know what time of year it is. then you go 18/6...they are like oh ok it must be spring/summer

The 48 may not be required, but like he said it confuses/resets the plant. We are fooling the plant into thinking its a perennial. You may be able to just set it back to 18. I have not tried it like that. I have turned them off for 2 days every time and its worked, I just dont want to fuck it up and make it a hermaphrodite.

It may not mean anything scientifically but it seems like 2 days of rest and relaxation may help in the stress of the revegging process. Make sure you flush well, in between cycles as well. You dont want bloom nutes confusing her even more.

DO IT. You will be pleased.

That makes sense, too much change could ruin your work and sprout balls.

is there any possibility you have pics of this. I will be harvesting shortly and I wanna know or see how much stem/mini buds to leave on. i'm on my 1st grow and i've heard a lil about this and i would really love to try it. my friend said it was impossible but i wanna try....

You should try to do a tutorial if you have done it a few times with great success

You probably want to leave atleast a third of the foliage/popcorn buds. You could probably get away with less, but that's a good safe amount to start with.

so then i will prob have to leave a lil more. I'm working with cfls' and the interior of the plant wasn't getting enough light and some small leaves weren't doing so good so i trimmed a lot of the small buds/hairyspots (never turned into bud, just hairs) closes to the main stem

Can u still clone successfully from a re- vegged plant?

from all the people i know who have done this... their harvest is slightly less and potency goes down... as far as flavor goes i dont know... i personally am not a big fan of regen... i would rather start all over again due to the fact that it can take up to six weeks for the plant to revert back to vegetative growth and start growing new greenery... Personally the only way i would regen is if i had a starin that was extremely hard to get and the chances of getting it again are slim to none.. otherwise your better off starting a new and using the six weeks to germ and start vegging... IF u dont beleive me then read jorge cervantes book in my sig... he is one of the best growers there is...
