the black kids committed a very violent crime. who cares if they are black? beating someone until they're unconscious deserves the full extent of the law. to continue beating someone who is not moving is a conscious decision to inflict serious harm or death. they have no idea how foolish it makes them look when they cry racism over something like this.

I'd have to say that 6 black guys stomping an unconscience white kid is racist if ever there were such a thing. Like the gentleman said, if it were reversed, do you think it would be called racist. This reverse racism is slightly out of control, like it's allright to beat up white folks but don't be caught beating a black man. I kinda hope they have a few un-called for riots and put a lot of people in jail for sticking their noses into the justice system. When you are stomping an un-conscience person on the concrete sidewalk, (No matter what color the participants) I think attempted murder about spells it out. Had a blow landed just right, they would be facing murder charges, as it was a planned attack. They're lucky that kid was as tough as he was. That kind of beating would have killed an older person.

our justice system is far from perfect but to say "oh well some white guys got off for that crime, so these black guys should get off for this crime" is just a load of crap. civil rights leaders, while striving for a good outcome, are way off the mark.
no offense to civil rights leaders but they parade around with an air of perfect morality and solutions to everything, while at the same time cry "racism" at everything, which doesn't help anything.
I'm not saying that this situation is without racism, but the fact of that matter is a group of people hospitalized an individual. For that crime, they should be punished. If that individual was part of some crime committed against that group, well so what? That should be totally independent from the judgment of this case.
tit for tat will only end when all those crimes are judged independently of each other. But instead everyone cries 'racism' and tries to bundle everything up into one messy ball of shit.

The amusing thing about these so called "civil rights leaders" is that they only peek there head around the corner when they get a chance to crucify a white kid or white kids. Take the Duke LaCrosse debacle, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were 100% behind this poor black chick that cried rape, when it turned out she was full of shit and they dropped the axe on everyone including the district attorney, Jesse and Al were nowhere to be found.
I have to laugh at the hypocritical nature of that video, especially when they said these kids were convicted and sentenced by an all white jury and a white judge. So if the judge and jury were all black they would have condoned it and gotten off scott free? Give me a break.

Agree with kant Im afriacn am. and i think those bastards deserve to fry!!! All crime comes from some sort of hate or ignorance. Mostly in the young it falls under lack of supervision. Weather he was black or white, Latin etc the first and formost point should be is a human life was almost taken due to ignorance. then move forward from there to see the entire spectrum. Is there injustice in Jena, Louisiana? Probably. That doesn't absolve or justify the jena's actions. So what if the kid they beat up was racist. who can say the black kids weren't just as racist? The fact is they hospitalized a kid and for that they should be punished. Vigilantism does not work. You say that the justice system is racist and corrupt, Yeah well if everyone sought vengeance for any and every wrong doing, there would be no communities. Everyone would be trying to kill their neighbors.
That having been said. I don't think it should be labeled as a hate crime. I've never like the classification of hate crime because it perpetuates the distinction between skin color. A crime is a crime. I don't think skin color makes a crime any worse or better.

Why the fuck is there a tree at the Jena school for whites only?
Why were the kids who got supended for putting nooses in the tree allowed to come back because the super of schools said it was just a prank?
When a black kid was beaten up at a party why the fuck weren't the white kids charged and put in jail?
When a white man pulled a shot gun on the black kids ... who took the gun away from him. Why were the black kids charged and arrested?
