due to some heat concerns i want to start my new crops(around a week old) at a 16/8 light cycle, i have always did a 18/6, but i wanted to get some advice on how a 16/8 hr cycle would do?? Does it make a big difference in growth compared to a 18/6??? does anyone here do, or ever did a 16/8 cycle all the way through veg?? any comments will be greatly appriciated.

My guess is 2 hours difference.

But really your room is not going to completley cool in 2 hours probably. I would stick with 18/6. Just my 2 cents.

i Am Just trying to go 16/8 because i have heat and humidity issues in my grow room, and for me it does seem to help a little with that. but i plan on to switching them back to 18/6 after i got my heat/humidity under control with upgrades, but i rather just do a 16/8 straight through the whole veg. Just trying to get someone that has or has information on doing a 16/8, like if it makes a diffence in growth then a 18/6, it is just 2 hrs diffence. anyone??

and BTW they are under a 1000 watt HPS, if that makes a diffence.

80 to 85, at the hottest and humidity i don`t know anymore, my gauge broke. but it is way up, 80 to 100% but these numbers are when it is the hottest of the day, in the morning it isen`t that bad. but i notice when i do the 16/8 it helps out. and i really wanna do a 16/8 straight through veg, but just wanna know if it makes a diffence in growth then doing a 18/6

I run up to 90 in the summer with no issues. Humidity never gets above 60% with a norm of about 45%. 80% humidity is a cause for concern though. My humidity is less with the light on.

so you are pulling the hot air out of the room threw the light and exhausting out of the room right.. plants do look good..:hump:

Yes. I have a line set up with a auto damper for the portable ac and one for the fan. just doesn't get it low enough to make the 6+ amp it draws worth it. I can be in the mid 70's in the winter. If my mother room was not running(250 mh) I could probably be able to keep it at the low 80's in the summer.

That wont help heat issues too much at all so get a better way of cooling instead. I have always done a minimum of 18 hours during veg but have done 10/14 during flower with great results.
