Chronic - 8th w 12/12 - looks terrible!! Help!

So I had two Chronic plants, the first (and smaller one) was chopped early because we found tiny white bugs in the soil...I seen the horrible things spider mites can do so decided it wasnt worth the risk. I have 5 other plants in the same tent.

Then, after searching the good old RIU forum...I found out I had misidentified the bugs...it was actuall springtails.

This only affected one plant, as it was in different soil - Canna Pro...I will never buy that again. I much prefer Canna Pro Plus. But im getting off topic.

The other Chronic is 8 weeks 5 days into flower, so have been flushing for 9 days and today the small leaves are brown in colour...the larger fan leaves are yellow. They are quite sparse and fragile/crispy.

Imagine a dead upside-down spider? Thats the shape of the leaves...sorry for the terrible description.

I know that since I havent been giving it nutes, the plant it using its energy stored in the leaves...but I was worried and wanted some advice of you guys.

The highest temp in the tent was 90...humidiy was 28.

I wasnt going to water the last chronic plant tonight... (on 7am off 7pm) and was going to take it out tomorrow and leave in a totally dark wardrobe until I return from work and then chop. I read that you cut before the lights go on...which means no sugars etc go up into the plant.

Any help or advice here would be great...I dont want to mess up my first plant!

Yep that's an ugly plant

You said you didn't use fertilizer, but you also "have been flushing for 9 days"?

What that 9 days in a row you ran water through it? Not being a smart ass just trying to figure out where you went wrong.

for 9 days i only gave it water + molasses...it was looking perfect two days ago. the other plants in tent are also looking amazing right now...just this is my first harvest and it looks to be going wrong.

should i chop tomorrow or not?what you guys think?

the other plant that had to be chopped early gave out a sort of hay/grass (not the good grass) smell...i assumed it due to the early harvest and prob a harsh dry. but now this chronic is giving out the same "hay" smell BEFORE harvest.

Its dry, but sticky to touch...but has lost its smell unless you squeeze the buds.

any advice or pointers would be great

Yeah, done that...such a pity cause I had high hopes for this plant before it happened.

Any ideas what would have caused it to go that way? it was green and healthy just two days before...like i said the other plants are totally fine.

man man man man
fix this plant....
its a heat and water absorbtion problem,
as the temp is too high the plants are drying out too quick and there isnt enough time for the water to be properly absorbed into the plant, so you water it and water it and water it in the hope that you'll fix the problem, but fuck all happens...
dude... just find a way to cool the temp down so that you only have to water every 2-3days

Looks like Phosphor deficiency to me; and probably a lot of micronutrient deficiencies as well.

No offense but how can you not use any nutrients and expect good results???

hey monkz,

thanks for responding! i have left this plant in the dark (24 hours) i could just chop now...or is it worth trying to salvage it and try to bring it back to health before i chop?

i will go to my local hardware store and get yet another duct and fan for the tent. honestly...its like a sci fi set in there haha...thanks again man!

I honestly wouldn't give up on her just yet. She's obviously been through a lot, but these plants are tougher than you think. I mean she's still alive!

Just buy her some blooming nutes (high phosphorus and potassium) and see how she does. I'd put her back under 12/12 light.

@ nellyatcham
pics are on the first page mate...have a gander and see what you think!

@ sandmonkey
I was giving the plant nutes (canna terra flora) but was flushing it at the time (hence no nutes...just water and molasses)
My friend chopped her today....so i will see what the end product is like soon. I was tempted to try and revive her...but alas....im too late. thanks for the advice tho man! if only i got to her sooner!

@ luda
thanks mate :)

so, just to clarify my mistakes here

temp is a prob (80-90...thought my cooltube would have worked...it didnt). Monkz had said;
"its a heat and water absorbtion problem,
as the temp is too high the plants are drying out too quick and there isnt enough time for the water to be properly absorbed into the plant"

it would have monthing to do with me flushing it...was i too early? did it use up all the stored energy or something?

thanks for all the advice here...i will be sure not to make the same mistakes when my strawberry haze is ready! i hope!
