Stupid mistake, any suggestions for a remedy

Well, i was planning on waiting to start a small first grow after a trip to LA for a wedding in about 2 weeks, but i was bored, without anything to smoke, and in need of a diversion.

I had planned on just germing a few bagseeds and seeing what happened, with the plans on killing the two or three that popped up.

Well, ill spare the details, but now i have 8 potted plants/seedlings, and i really don't want to ice them, just because I'm not interested in loosing the time I've put into my little grow, and i don't really want to have our house/dog sitter asking why a light in the guest bedroom closet keeps coming on for 17 hours a day, then goes off like clockwork.

I was hoping i could just move them outdoors for the 4 days ill be out of town, or give them 4 days of dark, but I'm not sure how that would affect the grow.

any opinions are appreciated.

Patience is a virtue... shoulda waited til you got back.. but hindsight is 20/20. how long are you going away for?? oh right 4 days... Lock the bedroom door and since they are seedlings put them in a closet with the light on 24... say you left it on if you get a call about it and just tell them not to worry about it, youll turn it off when you get back lol.. i dunno man. Good luck.

leave trhem outside in a shady spot if they are alive when you get back Great if not Oh well .

But if left outside there is a chance that they will start to flower and then...

Im in the same position, what you need to do is seal off all light getting out of the closet, put a heavy chair or move your dresser in front of the door, this will work, i had to do the same damn thing with my wifes friend when they watched our dog. it will work, put something under the chair/dresser like a toothpick and if it has been moved you can really chew some ass. Peace, love and happiness my friend

word to that, eliminate the possibility in my opinion. you never know what could happen so just throw em outside man. surely they won't die, if you've loved them, they'll understand and not hermie on you ;)

What do you guys normally do when the housekeeper comes? Stand in front of the door and make sure she doesn't peek? I gotta tell you...once you put them outside they have tendency to bring all kinds of bugs back in doors with them (happened to me) with no predators to each them - you get overrun real fast. Either convince wife that no cleaning is necessary while your out of town or block door....heck, how about all of the above?

Goodluck

Come to think of it...they are only seedlings.. bite the bullet and trash em. youve done it once, you can do it again, its bagseed. not worth getting busted. and if they re that young they might not make it anyway. my 2¢.

Cheers

Where ever you are liveing put the plants outdoors for the time that you are away.Has long has you wet the plants through and leave a little water in the bottom of a propagator tray they should be fine.I leave my lights on a timer any how when i go on holiday to make people think that i am in.Put a lock on the door and tell the dog sitter that you don't want the dog to knock the timer. So if they do see the lights comeing on and off you have set them so thieves think that you are in.Then all you can do is hope for the best.

I have a big enough yard, lots of privacy, but very shady, would transplanting them outdoors be an option?

just leave themoutside the whole time because of 3 day of dark will kill it , so just enjoy the whole outdoors thing

Once you take them outside you cant bring them in to hard to control bugs. Spider mites, larva and what everyelse crwaled in your plants.throw those ones outside and start fresh one inside when you get back. Now you have 2 sets of plants one will harvest then a couple weeks later the other ones will harvest
