harvest is always a good one day affair.. you get all the appropriate supplies around... bong or bowls.. weed to smoke.. joints and blunts rolled.. scissors.. gloves if you use them... trimming bags.. then you settle in for a marathon of non stop bud trimming..

i told mg if he wants the help id be more than happy to go out there to help.. LOL it would be amazing to see the trees he has growing in person...

i would think that they would possibly be starting to put on something.. but he keeps us in suspense non the less... hopefully he wont keep us waiting much longer..

but the dude was pretty much correct, so long as the established root system is capable of delivering all of the required nutrients and fluids to the rest of the plant it will be fine..... small plant small root system is fine..... larger plants require larger roots systems or watering/feeding more often and typically more of a hassle in general to keep up with....


But for real, a plant is only as dnak as it is ;)

i think root binding has more to do with the size of the plant than with production... i believe a plant will grow to the size of the container allowed and thats it.. it wont let itself grow any bigger than the roots can support... both through feeding and physically keeping upright... thus the "bigger container, more roots argument"...

but i also think that our plants can grow larger in any given container than we think they can.. assuming we keep up with feeding and have a solid medium for the roots to hold to (so the plant feels like it is firm in place)....

it makes sense that if the plant doesnt have to focus on growing any other part of it other than buds (roots/foliage) than the buds would be larger... its just that the final plant size will be dependant on the container its grown in...

make sense at all??

I like when great minds think alike. My thinking is that if root binding works to increase bud size then it would be very powerful with a SOG of just tops in small pots....the extra bud per plant would multiply over all the plants...Plus i think small plants are easy to manage.

yea.. they are easier to manage.. but a lot more work to plant and get going.. it'd be a pain trying to plant 80 clones in red cups.. and if for some reason something happens to stress them out they are a lot less forgiving than larger plants...

I was at this Medical MJ seminar yesterday, It was pretty good...there were a couple lawyers and a couple caregivers giving a plug and showing some grow tips. And not to sound rude to them...they aren't up to par in my opinion....

But one of them said something that seamed odd to me....He said that he practices root binding, to increase the bud amount...he claims that the plant quits focusing on rooting and puts more into budding? He says it works with tomato plants, but ive never grown tomatoes nor care about them. I googled around on it and didn't find anything except bad things about getting your plants root bound....Ive also seen some root bound plants that looked bomb?

my opinion i don't belive in root bind, bound.. as long as the plant is getting feed the proper amout then your plant is going to grow and produce...

It occurs to me that a bunch of guys growing monsters won't be ready for the trimming....... lots of meticulous time consuming trimming on the way.... I know, Im harvesting one today.... :P

yes they are. in fact i took the rest of the big bud down yesterday... the others that are 2 weeks bhind are fatting up and are hard as rocks...

yes out doors is way better even on a cloudy day.. as for toping i did'nt top the tallest ones tell they were 6ft tall. they have always been bushy... they are all clones so they will bush out more from the start more so then a plant started from seed.

no buds yet lots and lotsd and lots and lots and lotsof preflowersthough... they won't starting actully start flowering tell the middle or the latter part of this month.... can't wait..:mrgreen:

thanx for the reply MYGIRLS, i didnt notice they were so tall, i only noticed how bushy n healthy they looked, also true about the clones, mine r nice n bushy 2, they have a head start over seed grows, ide realy love to find somewhere to do a outdoor grow, i wouldnt know where to start realy with an outdoor grow. thanx m8.

you never cease to amaze bro.. as always damn fine job.. i really want to try to figure a way to break free and come help ya harvest... cause damn.. just to see those beautiful girls covered in buds up close would be amazing....
