what size light you running in there? I would really like to get a dr150 for a veg tent. I just bought this thing from Hydrofarm called Jump Start its like a little contraption to pulley a t5 light up and down over a tray or two. It seems to work pretty good so far. however the tent reflects light really well and when you have air coming in and out i think the plants like that more. 
I am running a 600mh light right now (conversion bulb) in hps ballast I plan on going to a dual arc eye hortilux 1000w for flowering.
I think these plants are able to be topped now.. How much longer till i put them in to flower?

I'm a bit nervous with this being my first grow as to the best way to ensure by the time a male plant is able to be noticed and removed I can before it pollenates my room ... i would hate to have spent all this time and effort to get something with seeds 
i want to throw the male sign showing plant out asap anyone know if its a good idea to flower a plant in a separate room before putting it in the main flower room after it shows sex maybe?/

Oh BTW are you in an air cooled hood? I got my ladies like 15 inches away from my 400w hps
You will be able to tell the males apart from the females WAY before they let pollen loose. You will be good.

where are the new pics, did you add any new strains. You gotta fill that tent up dude, If not It's pretty much a waste of dinero, I"m upgrading from a dr120 to the new growlab 145, plan to do 12 plants in there.

Hey don't lower you hood that close to 'em I was asking cause I was thinking I had mine a bit to close.... got some light burns on the leafs I got it sitting right at 19 inches now. We shall see how they do when I return home from work. Check out my journal I updated pics and everything today. Anyways....

Peacenice lol i was too stoned to do it last nite anyways so ive left it alone i think its good where its at. in any case the plants are giving off some odor IN the tent. outside the tent and the room u cant smell it but when u go in the tent you can definitely start to smell goodness however these are only in veg 24 hours of light.. whtas going on?

It shouldn't be to smelly. Are you running the filter???? And the real question is when you are sitting on your couch and haven't smoke in a while can you smell the plants? If so bad.....

PeaceNo u can't smell the plants at all unless y open tent the fan is attached to the filter naturally blowing out causing the filter to be "hooked up ya" lol
don't u see the pic of the filter in previous post pics. The filter sits in the corner with 8" vortex on top blowing air through ducting hooked up to both reflector hoods then it vents out side of tent to a wye piece that goes into the ceiling with the hot air from port ac

Naw leave 'em on till they fall. Its natural for the plant to leach N from older lower leaves.

PeaceCan someone please suggest a better way to veg these plants before they are ready to be flowered so that they get enough lighting? Im looking for a cfl alternative maybe that doesn't require a ballast. It is lesss $ to find something u dont need a ballast for.. In any case I may just pay $200 and stop wasting my valuable time asking for suggestion.
