You can launch @ 5000 in 2nd gear and the fucking rear end smashes into the asphalt!

I'm sure people aren't lining up to purchase a $45,000 overpriced, underperforming American sports car. It's not all about horsepower and sex appeal - it's about performance and handling. The Mustang simple doesn't have it anymore. After '75, it was all downhill for the American muscle car.

Plus, $45,000 can get you a much nicer ride!

It's more of an American Muscle thing for me. I have owned two late model Stangs and I love them. A few bucks spent at Maximum Motorsports will have this fucker tearing up tracks.

I absolutely LOVE classic American muscle cars and the new remakes just don't do it for me. The Challenger got close, but not quite. My first car was a 72 Mustang and my dad had a 68 Chevelle and a 442. Boy were those cars an absolute BLAST to drive.

Hell yeah man, my dad had a '71 Chevelle SS #'s matching. Roll-cage the whole nine-yards. 3 Speed and man it fucking ripped!

my uncle is an ase master mechanic. a true hot rodder, he started building in his garage in the early 60's, and has owned road runners, gtos, a judge, and a few ss chevelles...

when i told him i was going to get one of the new gto's he laughed and said i was an idiot, and told me all the reasons why modern cars suck compared to the new models. 6 months after i got my ride he went and bought himself one... :lol:

myself, i think mustangs are over rated, just one of ford's attempts to compete in a market that it has never been successfull in, but its nice to see them finally make an effort to produce a real sports car after the last 10-15years of plastic crap with a hopped up v6. they still have a long way to go tho if they want a real performer IMHO, like someone else said you spend 45k on a top of the line ride and then have to spend another 5k just to make it compete with gm or dodge models in the same class that are still factory equipped...

lol well one thing i can say about mustangs is its the only car i know that has its own catch phrase-

It's still the same thing... a straight line car. Only one that broke away from the pact is the new Ford GT. Fucker bombs.

Yeah the Shelby is a monster but it can only improve so much on it's handling...

Get some AWD and double your entrance speed into turns, bunch of talentless straight-line drivers with your smoggy "muscle" cars that had as much power stock back then as a corolla does now.
