Hey everyone, I am currently constructing my own pc grow box and I was wondering how I could stop light leaking from the side cracks of my pc grow box?

Duct tape or the metal ducting tape they have at home depot should do the trick...

Ya I was thinking about doing that but How will i go about opening the case and shutting it? just incase you dont know I am talking about the spaces between where the side panel goes on.

You could get the weather stripping shit and put it on the inside so that it lays flush with the panel being put on. Thats what im gonna be doing for my dresser.

I used spray insulation just today on my box i'm building. Mine is constructed out of wood, but the foam cuts away all the excess and just fills the gaps. Kinda like brownbread for soundproofing cars.
Worked good in my case :)

Actually this stuff does cut away really nice. You can then clean it up just a bit more with wood puddy and sand it. It works pretty good.

Ok so I went to the hardware store today and picked up some weather stripping in white. I wanted to get black but it was way to thick so when applied it to my grow box light still leaked??? so I just decided to leave It the way it is and hope noone suspects anything...

Yeah, well depending on what kind of case you have, just go with it, stick a few band stickers and it might just look like a lit up high performance case and computer

:eyesmoke:

Or maybe I shouldn't give ideas this stoned lol

If your box is metal, Go to homedepot or wally world and get some magnetic strips, You can spray paint them to match your case.

I was looking at PC boxes a few months back after i trashed my old one and saw one for sale and he used magnetic strips to seal the light where the right panel comes off to open the case, Fucking brilliant idea, I never thought of it before then, I just bought a case today at a thrift store, 9.99 with two fans. Excellent price and its black, Im in the process of building it now.

Btw IMO PC grows for personal use are kinda pointless, I got 1/4 ounce out of one plant i LST'd my first PC grow, It was good smoke, but for the time it took my T5 produced 2 OZ in a 2 ft wide, 2 ft tall, 2 1/2 ft long space.

Its a excellent learning tool tho, Heat will be a issue as well as light proofing. I learned alot from it and hope to learn a little more. G

good luck man hope the best for you!

Use panda film and velcro for the opening/curtain. Shit keeps my dresser grow box 100% light sealed in pitch black.
