Is distilled water good for your plants?

Tap water is better. It has many nutrients/minerals in it. Just set it out for 24 hrs to allow chlorine to escape.

In a sense no. There is virtually no nutrients in it. If your tap water is really hard then distilled or RO water is a good starting point to add nutrients. Tap water contains minerals and micro nutes which are good. You'll end up adding back all the impurities that were distilled out. Unless the tap water has stuff that kills plants or is really hard use it. It is a lot cheaper and less hassle.

If you are mixing in a nute that has the micros in it you will be fine. Example, GH 3 part Fora should be used with as pure of water as you get. You control the nutes.

It is a pain in the ass, but most city water has alot of crap i it. If you distill it yourself you will be surpirsed at the nasty smelling gunk that can be left in the bottom. Also tap water is normally high on the ph scale and takes more chemicals to control ph then distilled.

Is distilled water good for your plants or should you use some other kinda water? :joint:
i alway use distilled water, each grow i buy about 5 gallons of it and use it until i run out then use tap water. i do this to get the gallon jugs which i always throw out accidentlly or something by the start of my next grow.
