so basically I just moved out and am living in a two bedroom apartment. I want to do something that will be somewhat simple and under 300 dollars. my biggest concern is odor. ive been looking at grow room diagrams but all seem to have and exaust system and im not sure how to do that in a closet area. also i was thinking about going with a stealth hydroponics system.... any suggestions???

i can tell u right now its gonna be way more then 300 dollars i grow in a closet with cfls and spent a lil more over 400 dollars

hydro will be a lil more harder in a apartment do you have a roomate? i live in a two bedroom as well you can chk out my journal in my sig. idk bout you but i would go as stealthy as you can. i know ive been growing around almost a month and there is already talk going around but im safe got the manager on a bud roll (pay roll) lmao im able to grow w/out her reporting and i hook it up with some bud that i harvest is what the deal is i also smoke out the next door neighbors so i think im good. all i gots to say is get to know your neighbors and surroundings youll be fine!!! =) well happy grows it let us know what you decide looking foward to another stealth! =) Peeeeeace!
as for money wise your gonna spend a minimum of 300 think about it. lights, soil, pots, nutes, thermometers, ph readers reflective material spray bottles fans electric in general wiring and all the cords. and i can tell you from the start it will become somewhat of a hobby as to where your wanting to upgrade whenever you have a chance!!! =)

My "closet" setup (yes it's total ghetto):
2 - 24" florescent dual fixtures with 2 Cool white bulbs and 2 sunlight bulbs (walmart $29.94 for the fixtures, and another $20 for the blubs)
1 - 24" blacklight fixture with GE Ecolux Plant and aquarium bulb (walmart $6.97 for the fixture and $4.97 for the bulb)
1 - wardrobe closet with the middle removed (Home Depot $102.99)
2 - febreze True Air (walmart $29.94)
1 - replacement filters for the fabreeze (walmart $14.97)
4 - 120mm fans (radioshack $19.99 for 4 thermaltakes other wise it's $19.99 each)
1 - timer (Walmart $4.97)
1 - humidifer (walmart $29.97)
1 - desktop fan (walmart $14.97)
So far i'm up to $280. but that doesn't include the pots and medium. i lucked out and snaged a few pots from my parents, and the soil around here is the best that i know of (we even export it to other parts of the country). I also had some extra 12v power supplys laying around so that didn't cost me anything. I've added a few more things, but all trivial; weather stripping to seal the lower compartment, roll of tin foil, and wall paper roller(Yes i know never use tin foil, but this is my ghetto grow closet). I also have a web cam, and software that takes photos every 30 mins. yes, i'll post the video once i get it done. the only other thing that u might need is:
1 (maybe 2) - 12v 500ma (or <1 amp) power supply (ies) (Radioshack $19.99 - $39.99 depending on the amperage)
so right there is $300 (not including tax witch i luck out on and don't have to pay)

I still recommend the febreze true air. if it can eliminate my kitty litter box it can defiantly eliminate the oder of a plant

thanks for the welcome. I've lurked for a while, and found someone in need like i was, i couldn't help but to help other new LB growers get started. I'll defiantly look at doing that filter. Looks like a pretty good LB filter
