Damn. I just watered bloom side today and forgot I was going to give them a shot of Grow Big.:dunce:bongsmilie:dunce: O well! mid-bloom nitrogen will help your fan leaves hang on for a little longer. I take it on faith that that's a good thing.:eyesmoke:

I tried to rep you today, but I need to spread it around some more.

As for the kush I have no experience, I'm a bag seed warrior:mrgreen:. It's supposed to be a heavy yielder. Just be kind to it.bongsmilie:blsmoke:

Thought i would update a bit. Stopped by the garden to water and tidy up a bit yesterday. Watered everything in flower with 1/2 strength tiger bloom and big bloom. and 1/2 tsp of grow big, They are looking very yellow going up from the bottom. I know its way to early for this to be happening yet, so i thought i would give them a shot of veg nutes to help out.

The small shelf in cups got 1/4 strength grow big and superthrive.
The veg/mother cabinet got full dose grow big, 1/4 dose tiger bloom, and 1/2 dose big bloom.

Bud formations are looking good on all flowering plants. The kush is still looking droopy and very whispy light pistils growing.

Anybody know if this normal for violator kush? Is it just not a heavy yield plant?

Hey Fire,

I see you been busy.
Great setup man. Its obvious you have taken a lot of time pruning and training, not to mention maintenance.
Looks like you are going to have a plentiful harvest this time around. Good for you!

From what I understand Kush is a low yielder in general. Killer smoke, just not much of it.

Thanks for the pics, those bud shots are great.

Nice to see ya back.

Wow, bagseed everytime. I couldn't keep sane trying to find all the males and get rid of them. Or just let them go and create some crazy new strain from all the cross pollinating......:joint:

Thanks cruz,
I haven't been over to look at yours, how's the dream team doing?
I figured the kush was a small yielder, if you could see this thing 3 weeks in flower....
Cant wait to get one of my himilayan gold clones in the flower box. I read it gives you great creativity........I like to build to stuff!

I hardly ever grow from seed lol. I have three plants in veg that are a new strain although equally unknown, except it was from a good bag heh.. They are in the back of my veg room in my recent lame ass update. judging by leaf shape it has a little more sativa in it. . . That should come on line in January or thereabouts. I'm getting ready to take a bunch of clones from them. Not sure why I keep putting it off. Probably because of the mite wars!

I'll try to document my clone techiques when I get to that.

i have a hym. gold clone in flower now. the mother was chopped at 9 weeks and the bud had a lot of leaves. maybe got a bad pheno idk. have 4 more of these beans and right now they moved to the bottom of the list. im going to let the clone go for 10 maybe more weeks to see if i can get something worth smoking.

anyway the cure from the first harvest came out like hay. ive cured 15 different strains all the same time and only the hym gold cured like hay. does give you a buzz though, but with everything else to choose from it doesnt matter.

good luck with your hym. gold. i hope it comes out better than mine, then maybe i will try another one next year. i wanted that creativity buzz.

Hey Smoke,
Dang!!!....I forgot to take a pic of the HG last time i did an update. Mine is growing like crazy.Huge fan leaves, and I trimmed down to nothing last week, and it's already back to where it was before i trimmed it.
This thing goes crazy under my 6 CFL's, and 250 HPS in the mother chamber.
I think i might have a good run, i got mine from a healthy mother that grew the same way this one is. Ive never seen fans this big on any other plant.
Look back in a few days for a pic., i'll get it next time i visit the garden.

wow, you have a very established set-up. hopefully in the next run or so i can get at your level. your plants are very uniform and neat. very nice job. what is the flowering time on the ppp? this is a strain i would like to try in the future.

Thanks Jact, it will have been a year in october that ive been here on RIU and it took alot of practice, mistakes and good friends here to get me where i am today.
The PPP is definatly a strain you need in your op.
It has massive yields.....I had 4 PPP in SOG style as a test run last turn. These four plants gave me over an ounce of PPP alone. The 4 WW in SOG only gave me about 1/2 ounce on the same size plants. And they were only about 9 inches tall at the end of it all.

The PPP is a 9 week strain i believe, i usually just watch the trichs to be sure on harvest. I ordered from nirvana and ended up with two phenos of PPP. One was big and plump with dark hairs, and the other looked very bubbly almost like Northern lights buds.

Himalayan gold huh? Sounds like something I would like.

Ha, The dream team is has grown up. Unbelievable dude.

If we didn't screen them I bet they would be nine feet tall. we had to extend the screen. and train the others off to the side so they wouldn't grow taller then the fence.

I finished off the led/400w cabinet grow journal because I revamped.
Now I am running two cabinets with aeroponics in the large cab, bubbler's for clones and the drip system in the old cab.

If you like to build then you should check out the Dual Cabinet build as well as the grow journal. Links in Sig.

Here is my outside Hempy Aloe plant. I started this from two shoots of aloe two months ago!

Another cactus I have outside, It grew a long flower cluster out of the middle a month ago.

My tomatoe plants started indoor with fox farm nutes.

My tomatoe clone...first attempt. Looks good!!!

And i have already ordered the seeds for next year.

Today was a busy day of watering and spinning plants!!:wall:

  • Temps: 76 Degrees Farenheit
  • RH: 50 %
  • 31 days flowering
  • Clean water only Today---PH 6.48
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

A wide shot of the Flower Chamber:

The Bush Side:

Close up of the Himilayan Gold: (one week in the Bush Side)

The SOG side:

The Clone shelf: (Waiting patiently.....:wall:)

Thought I would try my hand at some LST'ing on this violator Kush:

Just a quick peek in the veg cabinet:

Wow,

Nice job dude. Great shots and well put together post. Most informative.
Now I got a much better idea of what you got going on.

I see PPP in the veg room. I remember when we first conected. I was going to get
that strain at Nirvana too but went with Snow White. (mistake)

The SOG farm, I never done that, what do you suppose the yield will be per plant?

Good question cruz...
Last round i did 4 PPP in the same setup, same height, pot size and everything and got like 34 grams dry weight from them.

4 white widow the same way only gave me a like 12 grams dry weight.

This time i have about 20 PPP and 4 or 5 WW in the SOG.

Hope to have a good yield this harvest....but we will see!

September 11 is the chop date as right now, but im gonna watch the calyx more this time to tell when to harvest. Not much of trich watching.

August 20, 2009

Temps: 78 F
RH: 60%
34 days flowering

WATER DAY: Bush Side & SOG = Full dose Tiger Bloom, PH 6.45

I wish i could get my humidity down to 50%, but of course 60% is with lights off, so it could be 50% lights on...... I hope to get the RH down to 40% the last two weeks, but its been a pain to keep it at 50-60%. Its been so crazy with the weather weve had.

SOG side is looking Good today!:weed:....I can hardly wait these next 4 weeks :wall:....they looks so tasty!!

On the other side, I have some problems! The back left plant is the PPP, and its not doing so hot. All lower leaves are yellowed out, fan leaves are crispy and dying, and the buds have seemed to stop doing anything.

The front left one is the Violator Kush.....both of these plants 34 days in flower.....and it is looking the same. PPP is in hempy, VK in soil. Both get FF trio nutes every other watering.

Right back is the White Widow, front right is the Himalayan Gold. Both doing good.

This one is a closer shot of the widow that you can see the PPP a little better in.

Anyway, back to the happy stuff!!!! More PORN!!!!YAY!!!:clap::weed:

I plan to follow Zeus's Take on Harvesting... recommended to me by gypsybush, well.....in about 4-5 weeks anyway...

Thanks Guys, leave some comments this time:-P

Cool,

I love that mini Forrest you have there. So is that like just the top three nodes making the main cola? I see where you cut the rest off. I could see doing that with purple Kush in Hydro.

Yea like Jig said some plants just dont like the corner.
They look mobile, do you ever switch the pots around?

Lookin good man.

Damn that looks good. Sorry to hear about the problem child... some plants just don't like being stuck in the corner.

Love your puppy!
Jig,
Thanks man, thats a red nose and sadly i have to get rid of it. The guy at the farm that watches her cant keep up with her. Beautiful dog, but bad manners!!:-P

Cruzer,
Its different on all of them. When I throw them into flower, i get off anything over a half inch long starting at the bottom and working my way up. I have some that are almost 8-9 inches of pure cola, but not many.

I turn the plants and change their spot everytime i go. I tried it in all four spots on that side and still nothing works. I'll move it again, and hope for the best!

nice op, dank looking buds
Thanks Man!

So I guess you mean you remove all branches that are under a half inch in length when you flip to 12/12, then just let it go?
