Hi basically i want to know if it would be worth it or good to top or fim a mother plant for more clones?

Im thinking topping or fimming as early as i can with the mother to keep her short and lots of branches to choose to clone. and have bigger clones to cut later on.

also if its a good idea when is the best time to start fimming or topping. How many weeks from sprouts..

i want to top or fim enough so the side stems can reach the top of plant. im guessin that would be nice and bushy to take cuttings from

i thought it would be time as in matures.

i'd figure size is all in the strain.

any more thoughts?
i will top when they get about 4-5 nodes on them.........to help reduce size and produce more colas!

I probably would not do it in the first 2 weeks. Hope that helps!

I just topped 3 of my plants last week, they were at 3 1/2 weeks...all look good and 1 went berserk w/ new growth.
I'm planning on doing the same thing you are.

When you top a plant you are going to shock it. The plant is going to stop growing for a day or three depending on its' overall health. The lateral branches will grow during this time, although at a slower growth rate while it recovers from the shock. You will see more growth from the other nodes making it busier and better bud sites. Your new top growth will continue in basically the same growth rate in a couple of days as before the topping.
