Carbon Scrubber and Police K9's

When the police get a report of a house growing marijuana do they bring dogs just in case they can't find the grow room?

If they do and can't find your grow room I assume they would have the dog sniff around. Now my question is is it possible to make your grow room dog proof with carbon scrubbers and having the room sealed? Or are you fucked no matter what if they bring in a K9 unit to sniff in/around your house?

Hey all pretty new poster here .. been lurking for a bit.

If they bring a dog you are SCREWED. I managed a storage facility for a bit and I would let the loal sheriff come in and train his dog on the property. One day I was talking to the Officer and asked how good these dogs do and he showed me a little demo .

The cop places the dog in the car, get into his trunk and pulls out a brick of what I would assume as mexi dirt weed. The cop pulls an evidence sticker off the outside of the bag ( keep in mind sticker OOUTSIDE of bag), the cop then walks into the building and had me randomly pick a door. The cop placed the sticker under the door and brought the dog in. He imiaditly went to the door and started barking ...

Thanks for the replies. What I was thinking was running electricity underground from my house to an already existing underground shed/bunker of sorts about 250 ft from my house. If they brought dogs inside my home I wasn't sure if they would be able to smell 250 feet into the woods, underground.

There are ways around this. Barry Cooper advises to regularly grind up stems and leaves and spread them all over the place. This will confuse the K-9 because it will smell pot everywhere.

Good idea with the underground room, i was thinking of doing the same. My idea was to dig a 10 by 8 foor hole 8 feet deep, under a tree so no satellite can snap a photo. Then pour a concret slab, cinderblock up four walls, and build a wood frame for the concrete to rest on to create the ceiling. I would put rebar in the roof so it ran all the way to the very outside wall flush, if that is done, i don't know if the roof could collapse, unless a shit load of weight was on it. Then i would cover up the roof with dirt and add grass seed so it looks natural. I haven't figured out the trap door though. I'm thinking a trap door and ladder to enter/exit the room, but i don't know how i would conceal the trap door from up top ground level if you know what i mean. Inside the room i would have a several huge grow tents all with 1000 watters, cool tubes, inline fan with carbon filters. Then i would have a co2 system in the growroom so the plants can breathe. This was my idea because i to, thought if i had an under ground, pretty much invisible room, that was away from my house i'de never get busted, regardless of my power consumption. Feel free to critique my ideas and also mention prices if you guys know. peace

How will you do the venting? Infrared can see through treetops if the chopper is flying low enough.

My Q is why are you worried about this? People get caught because they did something dumb or careless.

So you cover your neighbors' property, even the entire block if you wish. You don't need that much leaf mass to do a decent job. Let them dig deeper; by the time they close in on your house you will have cleared everything.

Even better. Lets decriminalize herb all together. This way the dogs can be used to locate weapons or lost children. Its so frustrateing trying to out think the cops all the time. I am not a criminal, unless spelling poorly counts.

the only way to get by a K9 is what that guy said....u gatta grind up all ur scraps and put it everywere....i would just use crushed dryed leaves they would never see it on the ground...out toss it on my nabors prop. lol and make a trail leading away from were im grown lol...have u bunch of it riged to pop out side lol....i donno time for bed.

I remember his comment about taking a bag of weed and drag it all around the house (cubbers, drawers, closets. ect) that way the dog points out everything as pot confusses the issue and the handler takes em back to the car for having a bad smell day. Hunting dogs depend on their nose to find game and they do have says when climate conditions are better then others. Dry, dry days them may not smell well at all and dew, moist not rainy but moist they smell everything that moves...fyi

scubadude - An A/C won't make heat disappear in the least, just move it around (usually by running the heat outside of a structure as exhaust). If you are that paranoid about IR that you are building an underground bunker to avoid detection, you'll still have to figure out what to do with the exhausted heat.

In my opinion, a hot exhaust vent coming inexplicably out of the ground in a non-industrial area is going to raise the suspicions of a FLIR operator more-so than the average overly heated house with a large grow op in it...

Couple of other things - moisture, both in humidity and pooling water could be a huge nightmare with a hot underground structure. Better plan on a strong sump system as well as strong dehumidification.

Sounds like someone is paranoid. It happens.

First things first, don't talk to anyone about your grow. Don't talk to cops at all. All you need to say is "I want to see the warrant". Why is "the man" even at your home without a warrant in the first place? If they are coming around, they know something. Now ask yourself, how could they know? Chances are, your not covering your own ass. Start covering it, or be prepared to cover it in prision. I'll pass on the pen.

Underground is great, once you have the $$$ to do it right. Big bucks for the normal guy.

ok 2 quick stories...

1st.. when I was a young lad I got put in jail for 10 days.. I and the other inmates were in the east wing, no one was in the west wing and they came in with 2 dogs doing drug training they tied the dogs up close to where they give you food trays. a few people started messing with them and blew cig. smoke at them and blew pepper at them...2 hours later the cops left pissed off that nether dog found the hiding place..

2ed story..a dealer friend of mine got raided 10 years ago and I went to his house a few days later to find out what happened. well he keeps everything outside except his own smoke so when they come with a warrant he let them in and they found his personal bag (sitting on the table) less then a 1/4 oz so he got a ticket no biggie.. we were sitting in his living room when I seen a roach on the floor we got a lol from them walking right over it.. then see another and another ended up with like 8-9 roaches that 2 dogs walked all over and never found..they also walked right past where he had about 2lb. outside and never found it..balled up and throwed in a bunch of trash outside..

well thats it for my dog stories, but if your lucky and all the stars line up just right, maybe just maybe you got a chance if the dog come..
