yeh it will do for about 10 plants if you got the 4ft long lights as far as i know/ but if you got a window that no1 can see anything in, grow from your window sill ans u wont need the lights BUT IF ITS LATER ON IN THE YEAR U WILL NEED HEAT :-)

I have never looked into UV bulbs for growing. Any one got and info?
hi- this is my first day on this site an its great :-) but just outa intrest if thats your plant in the pic at the top how old is it ? and are you keepin it in a constant light 24-7 ?

That was a plant I grew last year. It turned out to be male but it was still a very interesting grow and helped me learn a lot. I had it on 18/6. Good to see new faces on here. Here is the journal for that plant. I hope it can help you out Puff. :)

i added 2 26w exoterra uvb cfls to my flower box, the desert rated ones with 10% uvb. i have yet to harvest so i can't attest to the results yet.. but i think they are the best deal, they're like $20 each, but its nice to have cfls, you can use a normal shop light to add them.
i read that uvA also helps but uvB is the more important.

dont order from petswarehouse.com, they never sent me my order and it took a month for my refund.
