i wouldnt use any yet.

ive done different methods for when to add nutes.

one is at around the 3 week mark
another, is around once they get to 4 or 5 nodes
and finally, add it when it starts showing they need nutes

they all seemed to work fine for me. none died or got nute def or burn

but i wouldnt add nutes just yet.

shiny reflective paper type stuff. reflects the light. tin foil reflects heat and causes hot spots. plus its doesnt reflect light very good. mylar can be expensive. for me at least. just paint something white.

ok ill see what i can cook up as far as painting and the tin foil could explain a few of the spots on the leaves

lol i see it. should be fine. you should get those round metal reflectors for the lights. seems like youre wasting alot of light.

you know oddly enough those did have round reflectors on them but i peeled them back so i could attach those twin socket adapters but you do have a point im still trying to fine tune this whole process if i can just get one of these things to actually produce bud ill shit bricks

if you just keep with it youll get buds man.

i once knew someone who spent 4 months growing a ton of plants and just decided one day to quit. so he just ignored them and they died. they were budding too,

stick with it and youll get buds. :)

Yeah make a piece that covers the dual lights as a reflector in your lamps or just get more lamps and have one for each. I just started my grow with cfls from seed 3 1/2 weeks ago and when it sprouted all i had was 1-6500k 18w 2 inches above the plant and grew real fast with 24 hr light. I now have 2 - 25 watts to handle the size.

They say there is a easy rule of thumb on cfls for light, just make sure you have enough that most leaves are only 1-3 inches from the cfls for good yield. So that means top to bottom.

Don't worry I'm not giving up on this I'll keep trying even if it kills me. It's just I keep reading all these grow journals and I don't think my plants are where they should be I have seen plants at a week old that are 3 times the size of mine.

yea i know its like watching paint dry or grass grow lol another question i had will it hurt the plants if i go off the light rotation? I'm doing 18/6 right now but tonight I won't be home to turn the lights back on will this hurt them?

probably not if its just one time. and for not very long but if you keep fucking up the lights and stuff they could turn it hermie.

why dont you just buy a timer. theyre like 5 bucks at any store like walmart meijer jewel ace home depot menards....

or maybe even leave them on 24/0

I have had them on 24/0 for just switched a few days ago to 18/6 and I plan on buying a timer just in between pay checks right now but that and a moisture meter are on the top of my list when i get paid
