my ballast is outside my cabniet and I keep a fan on it
why? the air from above the light is being pushed through the kooltube and being brought out the tent its not like im circulating the air that is going through the tubeIf you only use 1 fan then the best of the 2 directions is to have it pull air out away from the light and not have it blowing air at the light
how is it any more heated than its going to be directly from the lightBecause the draw from the fan is greater then the air being pushed and resisited meaning you get more air flow from the suction then the push meaning heat moves out faster and sucks in more cooler air that gets sucke over your bulb then the warmer air exits. In revers the flow is restricted and it can build more in the flex tube and its already heated making the fan work harder
