Just started a new grow just wanted some feedback

Hey everyone i am new to RIU and i love this place! I finally started my own grow after much review on this website and i wanted to show you all what ive got so far. I have two plants and they are both from greenhouse seeds! One is "WW" and the other is "The Church". Money was a little tight so i decided to go with a 150 watt HPS light so im not anticipating a fast grow. I have the light about four inches from the plants and a fan on them at all time. I am a week into my grow and am surprised how much faster the "WW" is growing than "The Church". But i have heard that "WW" is a fast grower. I fed the plants already but only 1/16 the amount of nutes that it called for! Also read that from this site! Just want some feedback!! thanks everyone!!

looks like your working with some miracle grow for soil, ive noticed that soil isnt really brought up much in the newbie section. soill can make or break a plant. i know you dont got much money but you should save up some money and get some happy frog from your local grow shop. use it when you transplant. looking good other than that:leaf:

Thanks for the advice!! I have read a lot of negative about miracle grow so i def didnt want to use it! I tried to find a soil that didnt have any self releasing nutes because i am using my own! I went with a schults natural organic potting mix. Had some nutes but very little.... N-P-K was .06-.09-.06! Should this be ok still? Picking out my soil was the hardest choice i had to make because everything at the local plant stores have all self releasing soils!! I wanted to feed my plants myself so i know what they are getting and when!!

i would hold off on feeding for another few days. straight tap water has enough nutes to keep a seedling alive. and welcome to riu

Most def man I am not going to feed for another week! My nutes say once a week and i am sticking to that! I hear overfeeding and overwatering are newbies biggest problems! I will keep you updated weekly with pictures to let you know how my babies are coming along.....BTW their names are FARRAH and CAM... Thanks for the advice kevin! MUCH APPRECIATED

Well it has only been a day but i figured i would keep you all updated with pictures so you could see how it is going on a regular basis! I am a newbie and i know i like to see how growing goes frequently from other users so i can compare it to mine!! Hope this encourages every newbie out there!! The "WW" is growing vigorously and "The Church" is coming along! Will keep you updated just let me know how i am doing!! HAPPY GROWING

Hey everyone!! Thought i would give you some more pics of my grow!! My widow has just shown signs of her first five leave sets!! The Church is coming along but not nearly as fast as the Widow!! Let me know what you think! I am going on day 13 now!!

My white widow (seedsman) is on day 8 now if you saw from the WW club thread. Would be gd to compare along the way and stuff. I'm starting my grow journal thread soon anyway so you can see from there.
