Quick ph location? +rep

Hey guys. What kinda tool can i buy to test the pH in my soil.. im pretty sure its screwing something up cause the new growth of my plants is becoming all yellow. I have a pool test strip set up. But how do i test that with soil? lol.. i use tap water but i let it sit out for 48 hours before i use it.
Any ideas? +rep

you have to get a soil tester...you can buy it at home depot same thing as the pool ph tester..just for soil

or go buy a digital ph tester and just test your water when you water them..a lot easier..

get a soil ph probe/tester and test the soil 2 hrs after feeding/watering.
(they are cheap and work well).

:leaf::leaf:id just use the strips u have, use in on the run off water, after watering...

Should be just as close as any other ph test, besides going digital(wich is big $$):leaf::leaf:

the soil run off will always be lower than the soils ph.
no need to test the run off (only the soils ph).

just buy a Ph meter...u can get them on ebay for 20bucks....ph ur water ...before you water...and check the run off water...every now and then..

Wow bro if $20 is big bucks, how are you growing at all?

PH strips are shit they are subject to you being accurate enough to be of use, and that's if they can test low enough to be of any use at all. hell people even buy digital pregnacy testors because they want to be sure.. I can see 2 lines... I think... maybe.. oh.. umm.. .ya I think so.. Been there. Digital is the way to go. Smoke a fatty and you can still know you're on the mark.. even if you have to look at it for a few minutes.

lol.. thanks, I just think it's funny. You have how many grows under your belt? you have helped out how many people? me included. And what kills me the most is every time you tell someone something you post a link so they can read to verify what you are saying.. and people still argue you about it... makes me laugh.. but cheers to you for helping everyone out.

water tester is your best bet unless your kinda broke then go get test strips

If your not looking to spend much money i would do like Ludacris said and go to walmart and get a cheap PH tester...they also have a ph/moisture/light meter that's a couple bucks more....the light meter meter doesn't really work due to the fact that it only goes to 2000 lumens , but the moisture and PH works well for me.:leaf: directions on packaging
