Brown stuff left behind by weed

I use an electric coffee grinder to break my bud up and there was a nice amount of this really fine brown stuff left behind by bud and if you smoke it it will fuck you up you should try it if you never have anybody know the actual name for this brown stuff

I'm guessing it's brown from the coffee?? I used to have a grinder with a kief catcher....
....but maybe you're onto something new who knows.

i hope he's talking about kief left behind and not coffee.. i couldnt imagine how nasty and harsh and sick it would be to smoke coffee.. even if there was just a little bit of it in the mix...

You can make it into hash yes, but I have never heard kief referred to as hash. "man look at all that hash from the weed we just broke up" Lol like what? My grinder doesn't have a hash catcher at the bottom

Kif in Morocco
The term Kif or Kief almost certainly comes from Morocco. Marijuana is grown in the Rif mountains (probably the origin of the term "reefer" for marijuana cigarettes). The plant is mainly grown there for use in making hashish, which is made by compressing the resin from marijuana plants into a dense, clay-like form which is much more potent, weight for weight, than the grass form. Hash is more easily stored and transported than grass, and can also be made from less potent, "industrial grade" grass.

Moroccans use the term "kif" to describe a mixture of grass and tobacco, usually smoked in a special pipe called a "kif pipe". Moroccans in general prefer tobacco to marijuana, the latter being associated with poor farmers. Foreign brands of cigarettes, such as Marlboro, seem to be the most highly regarded by Moroccans.

France
In French kief means either Marijuana or "cool" (as in the English slang word), the latter meaning probably deriving from the former. It seems likely that this usage comes from Arabic via Morocco.

German
Several Germans tell me that the verb kiffen or keffen means "to smoke Marijuana" in Deutsch.

Czech
It would appear that kief also has a Cannabis related meaning in the Czech language. The only evidence I have for this so far is a web page I came across in a search entitled Kief ´ovo vetesznictvii. Now, I may not speak or read Czech, so I can't authoritatively translate what this web page is about, but I don't think I'm too far off base on this one.

South Africa
Several correspondants from South Africa tell us that in Afrikaans kief means "great" or "excellent" or probably closer to "awesome". For example, "Dit is 'n kief vrou". Meaning: "That is an awesome woman".

North America
In Canada and the United States Kief often refers to marijuana pollen crystals. These are the small fibers which can be shaken off and use to make hash powder, which can be smoked, snorted, or compressed to make hash............................um yea

Snorting kif is delicious. Doesn't do anything to you but you can taste weed in the back of your throat for AGES. It's a waste, yeah. But it's nice. :)

Why do people break up their bud in any grinder before smoking it anyway?

I never did understand that except when it's seeded. You want those trichomes on the weed you smoke not stuck all over in the grinder.

Sifted compressed kief is hash. Maybe thats what he's getting to. In any case when you get right down to it all good hash is really is just straight kief with the vegetative stuff sifted out making it more on the crystaly side.

I grinded 2 ounces in my grinder and i only got about a lil less than a J worth of "Kief" So mine doesnt do that really i think it all depends on how long you grind it

if you are talking about brown smudges stuck to the sides, bottoms, and on the sharp or tearing part of the grinder, this is whats known as hash. just a certain kind. experienced growers will tell you extensively about "scissor hash". this hash found on the sides of your grinder is the same product, just received off of dried buds instead of exceptionally sticky and resiny fresh plant buds. hope i helped :peace:

I get my kief from the club, and I've never seen any plant material in it bongsmilie
