HELLO all this is my first tub grow want to see how i do.. i dont plan on keeping this up todate every day but at least 1 time a week

some specs..

10 X26 watt 2700k

6 X26 watt 6500k

soil is..

2 Parts Peatmoss

1 Parts MG organic

1/2 Parts perlite



water only when wet

so here we go.. if you have a question ask




This is day 1 or august 1st I germmed one seed and waited till it sprouted(wich is today) then i planted it into a pot and put another 12 seeds into germ

That's a badass CFL setup, and using the tub as a tray is genius! reps+

Too bad the tub and tile isn't white, but you could cover it with Mylar or white poly.

hello all you guys missed a scare when my first plant didnt grow for 2 days but is now the best plant.
im glad to tell you all that 6 more seeds sprouted in the 5th day of germ so i threw out the others so they coulds all be from the same date:fire:

the first pic is the one you saw from the post above.. the others are in no real order but this is about 16 days of growth for pic #1 and about day 10 for the rest

sorry for the bad quality pic it was kindda hard to fumble around my setup..not picture friendly ahhaha

Good design but I wonder if under 400w total for what must be 8 sq ft at least is enough light?

PS: i agree with covering your bathroom title with mylar to increase light

naw man it like 3 feet by 1.5 feet= 4.5 feets squared for 7 plants i will add more lights and its 416 watts right now

That's too many plants and too much area for those cfl's as was said before. You said you will add more light but does that mean more cfl's? Why cfl's for such a large grow? You have it all wrong my man, one large light would do that tub nicely. I had three of these big ladies in my tub, run with a single 1k hps but you could do a 600 or two 400's.

It would have been about the same amount of money to get a real light after you add up all the bits you needed to run all those cfl's.

well the guy at the hydro shop wants $450.00 for a 400w hps and im sorry im not gonna pay $1.125 for a watt.. and yess i know they are better but i know hps systems should be cheaper than that.. i know buy it online but i dont want a paper trail

It's a warehouse 1kw ballast that cost me under $50 ea. I then remote mounted the ballast with an extension cord. Ballast is on the floor, you just can't see it.

No hood because it's run vertically in the middle of the plants. A light with a hood could not grow plants as big as mine.

Here's a pic of the whole grow so you can understand better, only half the plants are in the tub.
