I Simply Cannot Figure This Out...

OK. The leaves have been looking like "old ballskin" lol for a while now. Some of the edges are curling up. Not the end of the leaves but more like the sides. I had a fan on Med. about a foot away since the get go. I think maybe this was causing it. I moved it about 2ft further away and on to Low two days ago. I can't see any drastic change for the better.

Any ideas? Could this be a Zinc Def???

Thanks Robert - Some good info on there.

However, I still have no idea what is wrong with mine. None of those circumstances are the case here I don't think.

#I have fed once, but they were curled prior.
#I water once a week w/ .5L so they can't be over watered.
#Temps are 80-81 with the lights about 2" above. 72-74 lights off. No heat stress.

I am stumped...:wall:

Maybe too much light?! I have about 300w of mixed spectrum CFL's clustered overhead. About 2" above highest point on the plant.

Mine did something like that when they got rootbound.

Could have been something that happened to the seed before it even sprouted. Did you germinate them before you planted them, or just pop them straight into the soil? I had a batch of seeds that germinated for too long and some of the plants had frilled edges on the leaves like that for a while.

Yeah she seems healthy - just has some funky ass leaves I guess. That picture is Day 14 from seed, today.

Hey breakneck great profile pic btw!!
My money would be either on ph fluctuation or just simply a retard seed. What strain is it?
I have had this same issue twice before. The first one was ph being really low, fixed it and the new growth was straight again.
The other case was definately a retard seed as I made sure all conditions were 100% and it stayed the same. She still yielded great though :)
Good luck

yea, I think they look alright. One of those pic's looked a little iffy, but those last one's are just dandy!!! Do you ever spray the foliage? That could cause it if you spray too much and too often! Good luck and hopefully they get better soon. feed them some chicken noodle soup, maybe it's just sick...lmao...:)

I don't think it is root bound. Possibly your lights are too close to it and drying out the leaves despite having the soil wet. You can raise the lights a bit, and/or mist the leaves a bit and see if that doesn't help. As long as you are vegging, misting is fine. They may just need a top drink because of the lights.

Werd. I'll start misting them once or twice a day and see if that changes anything. Should I mist with my nute solution or just Ph'd water?

i can place a bet that the problem is a magnese diff. just dose it with 1tbls spoon of epsome salts dilluted in a gallon of water every other feeding for a week shoud fix it.

PEACE

most nutes don't contain (Mg), but there are organic amendments that release it.

Both my veg nutes contain .05% Manganese. Is this insufficient?

The older leaves appear to be just fine. It is only the newer growth that looks a bit funkadelic but that is not unusual for new growth. Like new wings on a butterfly new leaves need to fully fill out, be pumped full of moisture to fully expand and fully take shape, and until then they can appear to be wrinkled and crinkled and rather uneven. If each new set of leaves within a reasonable period of time turn out to look normal I would say you have nothing to worry about.
